are you in a rust prone area?
-
hey, the number has gone up!
-
depends on what you mean by "almost". only the TJ front 44 will swap with no welding and it won't match the fullsize 9". the front axle is always the most challenging of the 2. choose it, and then pick the matching rear. also, the 9" is overrated. I ruined my center section on a freakin' rock of all things.

Pricy but clean, very very clean.

here's the rest of the photos for posterity. has anyone contacted him yet about getting the truck into the registry? -
Bringing my old Comanche back to life.

can we see photos of all this bent hardware up front? I'd hate for you to be freaking out over something that's completely normal. were you struggling with hi-range or with lo-range? -
so it IS a ford part! (maybe) gotta get to a junkyard!
-
sure thing. I have everything you see in the Swag thread in the Pub.

happened to me a couple times now. it's a neat feeling being the first one to open up something that hasn't seen the light of day since Toledo.

depending on what's going on, google translate leaves much to be desired.

for $40k you could buy the cheapest barebones Tesla... or build a badass one-of-a-kind classic truck. seems like a no-brainer to me. -

if you're new to MJs, this thread is a great read -
out of curiosity, what does a leg bone go for these days?

91 comanche pioneer interchangeable parts
Pete M replied to Delee's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
if you're talking about the whole-sale change? then yes. but the individual parts may not. a lot got redesigned in 91 so 84-90 pieces won't necessarily swap with 91-96, even though on the whole they look the same. -

be sure to also send him a private message. it appears we've been having some hiccups in the software that sends out alerts for thread responses. -
It's been a bit of a rough week for my poor brain, but I vaguely remember reading that he found one and so I would have hid it. it shouldn't be deleted, but I cannot find it. so either I accidentally clicked the wrong tab, or something else has occurred. but since you were able to make contact, I guess all's well that ends well.

one gremlin has been slayed! on to the next!

as I always say, just because it's a good deal, doesn't automatically make it a good idea. but keep thinking on it. I'm sure you can come up with something more workable. but yeah, usually people keep the MJ and swap the drivetrain into it.

nope, just silver. plain ol' boring NOS silver
-
found a use for my NOS (aftermarket) decals. before anyone freaks out, I adhered them to a magnet backing and then put them on the 'gate. Love. It.

the switch on the column is what cycles between the 2. what exactly happens as you pull the lever to switch? can you hear a clicky noise further down the column by your left knee?
