primer is not paint. you're going to want to hit that with a sealer. looks pretty good in flat black though

the KJ didn't get a brakes upgrade with the tow package, but did get a trans cooler. I think the driving will be safe, but I worry a bit about the transmission if you don't have an external cooler. does the dolly in question have brakes?

fwiw, my abs system has been broken for like a decade now. both rears were definitely dead after the axle swap a couple years ago, but at least one of the fronts was hanging on. later on after more work I forgot to wire the 2 front sensors back in and then found out about the speedo issue so I put one back. I do have the 242. BUT, 05 CRDs were very different than '06 CRDs so that could be the difference too.

are your left and right side wheelbase measurements exactly the same?

interesting. my 06 CRD had no ABS sensors for a short bit and everything functioned normally except the speedo (I now have one working so I got the speedo back). but different years had different input locations. mine might get shifting info from the t-case or something.

so many great upgrades! hard to pick a fav, but I think I'm going to go with the clock panel.

anything is possible with enough time and money, but you might be the first to do that so you'll be blazing a lot of trails.

when it overheats, is it spewing liquid or just showing really hot on the gauge?

ooo, which reminds me, we never use the furnace if we have shore power. we have a small 110v heater. do be sure to get a good one though. you want some decent control over the temperature.

if you can't find a full swap video, you can use a 4wd front axle replacement video plus a 4wd transmission replacement video. the 2wd comes apart is pretty much the same way as a 4wd.

yup, it most definitely has the holes in the front/top for the bigger JEEP letters.

scored a NOS front end. some scratches here and there, but still cheaper than some of the junkyard fronts I've purchased.
