  1. haven't heard that about the YJ shift boot, but it'd make sense that they are similar.
  2. love it! do be careful about the XJ shackles. when coming down off a hoist, it's possible for them to invert and bed the main leaf up. just keep an eye on them.
  3. just drop it by my house and I'll take good care of it while you're gone.
  4. a bittersweet milestone for sure. I guess you'll need to update your signature.
  5. even more edutainment https://www.youtube.com/c/NotWhatYouThink/videos
  6. and the lift height thread:
  7. fixing the control arm length should be FIRST on the priority list. they are the things that put the axle where it needs to be, and the coils where they need to be, and everything where it needs to be. you're fighting the poor geometry and trying to bandaid a thing that should be a problem in the first place. fix the geometry and everything else will fall in line. found it down in the "suspension" section:
  8. the goal (aside from getting owners their truck's data) is to get enough of them to be able to fill in the blanks lost when that basement flood got the records room at AMC (at least that's the story we've heard about why early years are so sparse while later years are more or less complete). we might not ever be able to achieve this goal, but ya can't succeed if you never try.
  9. congrats! also, light sabers!
  10. I've edited out the common errors and reused codes. sorry, but the truck never had rack-n-pinion or a powdercoated bumper.
  11. there are several chevy v8 swaps in the Epic Tech section if you want to skim the threads for what they used.
  12. do they have headers specific to the conversion?
  13. what motor mounts are you using?
  14. is the tire centered in the wheelwell? this pic seems to indicate that your arms aren't long enough since the coil is bowed. did you find the chart with arm lengths vs lift?
  15. the shims and that pocket are identical to XJs. the bracing is behind that part.

    saw 3.45 yesterday
  17. the link in my signature has threads for both measuring height and a chart for arm length vs lift.
  18. WJ arms can be found in a junkyard for cheap. are your current lowers long enough for the lift you have?
  19. stock upper arms shouldn't be used with a 5"+ lift. and if the lowers are anywhere near long enough for that much lift, you can't really use them with drop brackets (too long). I'd probably get WJ lowers and uppers and combine those with the drop brackets.
  20. how much lift do you have? are your control arms long adjustable? if not, how long are they? (bolt-to-bolt)
  21. yeah, lots of custom printed parts in the vendors section.
  22. it works fine. I just didn't recognize it as a link at first (been a long day) so I figured I'd drop the long version into my post.
