  1. feel free to try your hand at metal work and pull the fender to pound it back out from the inside. it's totally fixable by a pro. a new fender would be cheaper than that though.
  2. also a bunch of KWS
  3. spotify failed me miserably on the drive back to GA (found out once I got in the car that morning that none of my saved music was available to me ) so I listened to CDs for 12 hrs. full albums! old school, baby!

    Gas prices

saw 3.75 several times on the way south. heck of a commute to go fetch that though.
  5. @NC Toy Boy which were you asking about?
  6. I'll be pushing my dad around Disney in a wheelchair all week, so there will be copious amounts of exercise too. but also relaxing.
  7. @eaglescout526 are the latches still available new?
  8. my 88 MJ doesn't have a single Chrysler part in it. all AMC. takes time for parts to get designed and for changes to happen. unless collaboration occurred between AMC and Mistu many years earlier, I'd say there's a 0% chance of direct swapping. but with modifications and patience, just about anything is doable eventually.
  9. I wish. I've only got 2 days to get the durango, trailer, and my folks packed and ready for their big camping trip to florida and then I get to drive 8 more hours to get to Lake Louisa state park. but next tuesday I might get to relax.
  10. that's going to be a fun little grocery getter.
  11. LS drifter big plans? or stroker 4.7 on 40s big plans? or what? don't leave us hanging here
  12. made it back to GA with no issues. next up is likely the lower arms again. tomorrow I unpack my junkyard goodies and take a closer look at the arm.
  13. I would focus on the features you want. we chose the 1575 because of the plethora of push out windows (literally every wall has at least one window and they all push out so we can have them open during a downpour) and the slideout (big for a little trailer). it feels like a much larger space. stuff like that might help narrow down you search. what is it you really need? what would be nice to have? have you toured a trailer place yet? get yourself into every possible trailer you can, not just the ones you think might work. jot down every thing that catches your eye and seems nice or cool.
  14. and this whole event is why I carry a ton of tools with me. I had everything I needed but the replacement parts. I like to be prepared. plus junkyarding. gotta have tools to get the good stuff.
  15. it was a struggle and a half, but the PT lives again and I head to Georgia in the morning. cost me a tow, a night in a hotel, gas for my buddy to come fetch me, trailer rental, and a timing belt kit, but it runs and drives and it's like the last week never happened. (except that my hands feel like I got into a fight with an oak tree. ) some tips for if you ever have to do this yourself: -a notepad clip works great at holding the belt on the cam gears -a 9mm socket works great at holding the belt on the crank -a zip tie does a great job of holding the motor mount in place while you're messing with the rest (it has to remain loose while installing that big metal mount bracket thingie so it can rotate)
  16. are you looking to spend the coin to upgrade the gears and axles?

bought a cheap headband light off ebay and I already can't imagine life without it. it has the sensor in the side so I can just tap my hand on the side to turn on and off the light. holy crap is that convenient! https://www.ebay.com/itm/154414573535?var=454813852701
  18. At this point in its life it is a work van. A very, very tiny work van.
  19. daaaaaaaaamnnnn.....
  20. learn to fix the basics yourself and you'll be fine.
  21. check out the airstream forums. they are a travel trailer, just like the rest, and built to "travel trailer standards", just like the rest.
  22. not sure how I would have fit tailgates into the car without that feature built into the front pass seat of the PT. love it so much I swapped in KK seats into the KJ (second pic). now I can sleep in the Jeep! (horizontally too. lol) why is it that all cars aren't this way?!
