  1. That would be great! The black one that's on it now is in good shape and is looking to get traded for one that shines. :brows:
  2. I would if I could. No spare handle unfortunately..........
  3. I got the wood from an old storage shed that had collapsed in a nearby field a few years back. I was driving by when the guys were getting ready to torch it and I grabbed some siding. I think the wood is red gum and it's HARD! The wood for the bench was left over from some rocking chairs I made awhile back. Glad I saved the wood. Old Gus needs a haircut...........
  4. I picked up a slightly-crusty MJ tailgate a few weeks ago from CC member thejim42 down in Birmingham and transformed it into my new beer drinking bench on the back deck. Very comfy........
  5. Hey Jeff, sorry about your Steelers mate. They gave it a good run. Looks like Big Ben is hanging it up; he's taken a hell of a beating over the years. It's the best thing he can do for himself. When are you getting back in the Comanche business?
  6. Sorry for the late reply And for hijacking the thread Short answer yes.......here is a fast review If i was to send anyone to my shop to get my old go-to charger they would feel confident when they lifed it.....huge transformer it must weigh 25 lbs This unit on the other hand is stupidly light (when you pick up the box you think it is empty) here are the high points Nice long color coded cables with great clamps, as this it a digital unit it it impossible to reverse the clamps or short them out Large back light led display that you can see from inside the house through the window if need be, and audible beeping notifications when cycles are done. The screen will also give messages for open cells or shorted cells. Voltage feature lets you read voltage of the battery in or out of the jeep and while it is running or not. Alternator check is simple hook it up with the jeep running press the button....it say good....no good,,,,,and you can verify voltage by pressing the voltage button Engine start....this one blows my mind....take a jeep that is so dead the starter is just clicking (we have all been there) press the engine start button....that starts a 90 sec counter....when 90 secs are up it beeps....truck starts every time....how this works without a huge transformer to push power I do not know.....but it works without fail every time....even in Winnipeg at -30 when the jeep has been sitting for a week.(my favorite feature) The battery recondition button .....i can only say this....have a jeep that sits a lot.....battery seems to lose its charge just by sitting....i put the charger on and used this feature....walked away from it for a day or so.....when the cycle was done i took it off......that jeep has so far started every time i have tried it. The only point you need to be aware of is a fully drained battery.....the digital sensor will not recognize it and turn the battery on....some how (Cables, or another charger needs to be used to bring the volts to about 5.....then all is good....maybe there is a way around that I am missing . :MJ 1: . The last Nice rundown - thanks. I too am tired of my huge transformer charger. This unit will be perfect for the trolling motor batteries at the pier.
  7. Everybody knows you shouldn't get the TPS wet. :rotfl2:
  8. Me too. yxnj, have you tested all the features it claims to have?
  9. Damn Sam, you finally found your topper.
  10. While doing your multiple battery cable connections using jumper cables, did you ever get the + and - cables crossed and cause a direct short aw-sheite arc?
  11. It's simple to avoid these worthless parasites. If you don't recognize the caller, don't answer the phone. If the caller's legit they can leave a voicemail. The Do Not Call registry is a joke.
  12. Here's an easy solution for the shift indicator from Ididit.

Welcome aboard. Red, white, and blue Jeeps. Cool.

  15. Yep - 4-wire HO O2 sensor connector.
  16. What are you driving?
  17. I suggest someone call Joe at General Springs before everyone "jumps in". Those prices were from what, four years ago?
  18. That IS very cool Mike. You would never know it was there except by looking into the grill. Who makes it?
  19. I doubt you will find the MJ distribution block easily at the yard. If you can't find one, I'd unscrew the brass valve stem and bring it to your local Mom and Pop auto parts store that's been there about 100 years (most every town has one), rummage through their o-ring assortment box and replace every o-ring on the stem. I'm betting you will probably find one or two of them torn or disintegrated. Also remove the plastic switch and make sure the body isn't cracked. Put it all back together and you'll probably be good to go.
  20. How are your filters orientated Gog? Mine is horizontal with the threaded end facing forward so there's plenty of room for the oversize filters. Am not sure if this is normal on the HOs or not......
  21. For sure. Scrap it.
  22. This is the best one I've seen: http://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/dash-removal-35444/
  23. And even if there was interference, how many people put rock sliders on their trucks anyhow? Ending short from the bottom of the sheet metal just looks wrong to me. The primary function of a fender flare is to prevent dirt and debris from being thrown onto the sheet metal. All the sheet metal. Like the Bushwackers do.
