last I checked it was 19* out with a strong wind here near atlanta.  Tonight is going down to 8*!  I'm house sitting for friends and their home is insanely drafty.  spent the morning caulking windows.  lol.  I've been in crappy cabins that were better suited to the cold!  good thing is they have a gas furnace.  I'm about to go run out and check on my folks (heat pump plus wood stove) and probably chop up more wood.  at least the snow missed us.

how is everything with you guys?

Today has not been cold but still eventful, today I was awoken to my dad telling me that the neighbors shelter logic had uprooted Itself from the ground and landed ontop of my enclosed trailer. 70F8F60D-4EA5-475B-8594-4F93CD112C1A.jpeg.3e76d4b93d567f90e7bb192fe08cae73.jpeg13F0BD35-9A1F-4496-891F-142C9978486D.jpeg.a002bdb7855c4068357b43e651b8fde7.jpeg39EDE406-E3AF-4A47-9178-A211F0B4A3EB.jpeg.6e7092b2b96dd776b2145e59ab279944.jpegD3BC42E6-762B-4E18-B7CA-A8FF8EBFDEA4.jpeg.16b4aef9294b47e49f49047a9f40cea0.jpeg
We had to open up the shelter and back the MJ up to pull it out into the front where it would be safe. 1ACA4ACA-B9F5-4E78-8B79-4D413E8DB173.jpeg.0bfa5cacf9acac637241b6c89ef8ef39.jpeg
The winds were insane this morning and the trees were swaying like crazy. It has been pouring all day. Hopefully I can put my trailer back behind the house with the 2wd MJ. The mud here is insane.

Also high of 25 tomorrow even tho it’s 54 currently. Everything should be good and frozen.

I'm not far from @jpnjake ... lost power around 5:00am and I don't have the generator hooked up.  Cold shower and went to

work.  It was like Armageddon on the way in, with branches down all over the roads and windswept rain.

It's over 50 degrees with 40-50mph gusts and a forecasted 1-3 inches of rain.  Meanwhile they're reporting that after this front,

the temp will drop into the teens for the next few days.

On a positive not, I'll take the rain over snow.

Comparatively warm day up in Winnipeg. -22°C, although the wind has some bite, -37. Just picked up the ZJ from the airport where it’s sat for nearly two weeks. Cranked a little slow but fired up under its own steam, although I’m learning the charging system doesn’t have the jam to run both the headlights and rear defroster at idle… trying to decide if that’s something I should be concerned about or if maybe the battery is just discharged from sitting.

I definitely chose the wrong week for doing laps across western Canada but only 300km to get the ZJ home and I’ll have finished moving.

Hope you guys are all doing alright down south. I know this is ridiculously cold for you.

After the blazing hot 54 day of rain yesterday, everything flash froze pretty much, the ground is rock hard, but the roads were hit hard with the salt to stop the freeze. Currently it’s 12 with a low this morning of 7. Gotta love New England 47 degree temp drop overnight

-2 with a WC of -18 the night before last, and a little warmer today. Rolling power outages for part of the day because TVA can't keep up with demand. Of course, we have gas heat and are literally using no more electricity than any other time but we still get to pay the price while Nashville's football stadium stays lit up all night. Boo.

We got down to about -5 deg F here in Erie, PA.  Lucky for us the wind is sending the lake effect snow to Buffalo.  Unfortunately, Buffalo is getting slammed again.

Only about 5 inches of snow here, though it is the finest driest snow I can ever remember as it's so cold.
