Obviously, I've been living under a rock...

So, the other day I stopped at the post office.  In the parking lot were two 4 dr. wranglers.  I'm in the MJ, of course.  The two other Jeep drivers are standing alongside their cars talking.  I go inside, get my mail, come out, and get in to my Jeep.  One of the other drivers has already gotten in her car.  She pulls in to the space next to me, rolls down her window, and says something to me.  I had to roll down my window, also.

She says to me: "duck, duck, Jeep."

I said: "What?"

She repeats it: "duck, duck, Jeep."

She then tosses to me a small rubber duck.

I said thanks, and pulled out.

I finally looked it up on the 'net.  There is a website for it; you guessed it, it is www.duckduckjeep.com.  The idea, as I understood it, is to spend money on stupid, rubber ducks, leave them on Jeeps you spot in parking lots, and can earn points (for what, I don't know.  Perhaps to purchase more rubber ducks?).

I've known about the "Jeep Wave" for a long time, but this was new to me.

Are there others here who were/are as ignorant as me about this new phenomenon?

Or, have I just been living under a rock?

Yeah never heard of it either, much more familiar with the Jeep wave around my way. I did check out their site which is basically about creating a way for Jeepers to easily connect, but you need $14.99 to get started with a 10 pack of ducks

Here’s the points system which equates to dollars, only 75 points for a bumper sticker:peep:

Whatever makes people happy but Ill stick to the wave.

Does that suggest putting bumper stickers on someone else's Jeep?

This reminds me of many years ago when we put a "Porn Star, I make home movies" sticker on a friend's car but his dad took it to work. He worked at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory where you pass through a guard shack and the car is inspected, the guard just said "Porn Star, huh?" Then I had a license plate frame made  which said "I would rather be taking it up the a$$" and put it on another friend's car but his wife drove it around for a week before they noticed it. Ah, good times.

Never heard of this either, but I deliberately live out of the loop on modern things. But sounds a little uncreative. I am more surprised that they didnt question you on if your MJ is authentic or not.

Or they could even read "JEEP' on the tailgate. There is hope for America yet.
