Armor conceptz
So, has anyone else tried to combine a dodge frame and a comanche? If so, shoot some pics! Here is my attempt. I just wanted a small truck with a 3/4 ton capacity. I'm gonna call it Truck Norris.

MontanaManche
always thought dropping a mj on a frame would be cool, only issue is it would sit super high unless you cutup the unibody rails off the mj and convert it into a body rather than a unibody. Hope to see more of this project though looks really sick.
Ghostman
Did you have to remove a lot of firewall?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

89 MJ
I just sent him a PM to see if we can get an update. This will be a very cool build. It is something that I have thought about taking on, and still may at some point.

Armor conceptz
Took me a min to navigate this site! I'm here! There are a few questions out there. Yes to make this work most of the unibody has to be removed.. i took out the firewall out because of rust, but there was enough room in between the rear of the head and the fire wall. Had to shorten the frame 10” or so. Three batteries in the rear, fuel tank (35 gallon) center over rear axle. Radiator behind cab, 3 row aluminum. Derale dual fans, (these things will spin slow-fast depending on water temp. Piping will be 2-1/4” aluminum all the way around. Also a stewart inline water pump returning water to engine. I used the stock intercooler from the 96 and chopped length ways and re-welded it. ( that Was something i don't think ill do again...) but when you are ballin on a budget, any repurpose is beneficial. So the only things that will fit in front are, intercooler and intercooler.. Upgraded the brake booster to a 2003 dodge 3500, which uses hydro pressure from the power steering pump instead of vacuum. So this thing will weigh about 1500 lbs lighter than the 2500 truck. The diesel will be left stock but enough done to make 420 hp and 900 flb torque. More pics and stuff later. Gotta work to afford parts!
