  1. If there's access, go with a 2k epoxy wherever possible. Cavity wax through a diffuser tip for areas you can't get at AND periodically/seasonally after that.
  2. If you don't already have one, get an electric file belt. It'll make the grinding less annoying.
  3. I love it. Sorry if you've mentioned it already, but what is the supercharger you're going with?
  4. Strange... Maybe S10 then? I could be remembering wrong... Anyway, there's plenty of Jeeps around that could use it. Just throwing it out there.
  5. I think this is a common device used in any make/model with a Saginaw column. GM trucks, for instance.
  6. Love it. Have you reached any other "markets" for these?
  7. Fixing > replacing. Good work. Where did you get your rebuild kit?
  8. I followed in the footsteps and inspiration of others. I haven't driven it yet, and I don't have the correct length stick on it, so I can't truly say if I'm satisfied or not. If I were to do it again, I would be less conservative with the length added. Noting that this Novak piece is a full inch longer, I bet it's pretty great. Edit: here is the thread. https://comancheclub.com/topic/74091-ax15-short-throw-shifters/#findComment-775573
  9. Donor doors from an '88 MJ. Getting 1pc power glass and late model mirrors. ... all work I've been dreading for years now
  10. Modifying window tracks... very exciting.
  11. Something like this? https://www.amazon.com/Rosco-Roscolux-Scarlet-Gel-Filter/dp/B00BAXU4TS
  12. Yes, would definitely need the LCD to match the rest of the backlighting.
  13. That's relatively easy then. Cool! I've always wanted red backlight in the MJ just like my old Firebird.
  14. I guess this blue filter is in the panel face vs a boot/condom over the bulb?
  15. Personally, I suspect that the surface prep is hardly ever good enough for red thread lockers to work to their full potential.
  16. Yeah that sounds like a bunch of work just so you get to use an LED... sticking with incandescent sounds like a better path. What if I want to make all dash backlighting red like a 90s Pontiac?
  17. That looks amazing. Wouldn't LEDs be poor at dimming on the factory rheostat?
  18. I need some more qualifiers around this. Is life otherwise normal? If so, 1996 it would be: Daily: Saturn SL2 Street machine: Firebird Formula WS6 Truck: Mazda B4000 Offroad: Jeep XJ Family hauler: Impala SS
  19. I think I agree. After sandblasting, I think I feel safe leaving all but the one corner as-is.
