After scrolling through this whole build thread...This thing is absolute insanity.

I can't wait to see how it progresses.

Appreciate it! Just now I was prepping the engine and trans for mockup, making engine and trans mounts next week hopefully.25fc72be471d6a960e6834ceb567fd66.jpg

Double post today, but got the engine sitting in it's custom mounts. They need some attention and bracing still. But a good foundationabffd26f375bc86fb23dcb75fe07c126.jpg1845f3116de8bf11267afb0b8c2a5d67.jpg4c035e7e94ca83babb5674afb8baafe4.jpg

Couldn't do much tonight, but had a few minutes to go to the garage and stare at it.95abf4ca768f0c52221a248c336d4098.jpg3806d308f524906a2fdc6b8a7e6cbc08.jpg87438296be97fb1d07a44edd9e7704a5.jpg

Very cool! Love seeing practical 3D printing applications.
Only reason I have it around anymore, I did all the fun prints and now I just make useful stuff!

I'm tingling inside.

Never did I think I'd be building a Comanche that has a Meth injected & Supercharged LS, long travel beams, in my own garage.

This is a gratifying moment for me.745dece79f0bb169b868bbe4f4123a61.jpg01e62dae4088914c90d97e365e6ded7f.jpgc56b875c6aa3ffa6ee0544156ba4d4f2.jpg4825350d938bf09700f3291c102b8d9d.jpg24fa63414c5656f8671a791ff5fddc4f.jpg

88$ and an hour with a persuader made these eBay headers fit like a glove.

Motor mounts still aren't done so don't judge them LOLe0f463d4c7b316d5dc46ee709b62ad04.jpg3a803a3eee19759f7edfc1b234c6a320.jpgbcfa5650ac439498366f647c29f6c60a.jpgfa62054e8bdfa8d71a52019879214935.jpg

So are the motor mounts "solid" or will ther be torque twisting to accommodate for? :shhh:
No they have a poly bushing, same with trans. There will definitely be motor movement. See my next post for header clearance which is what I'm concerned about...

Got the headers persuaded into place for good. Have as little as ~1/8" in some areas that I'm concerned about. But if later on I see that I need to clearance more I will, I'd rather do only what I have too than too much.

Eventually I'm sure they will "self clearance" themselves
I just don't want them to clearance through one another lol.
