Same here! It's anything but flat or straight!

Today's progress. Can't weld in the shock tower until the WJ master and booster are fit into place. So hopefully this weekend I can burn in this shock tower and then move to the other side!e926d945b34dd38c9c16387c834cf831.jpg0adbc9649e5b8978dbd459b32292cf75.jpga7f5201655260f53fbe399acea35fd54.jpg259b01de1880897317b77680eb86cd2f.jpg

Sorry to be that guy, but the shaft from the column to the box is the intermediate shaft... the sector shaft is inside the steering gear:

Anyways, carry on.  Tight fit for all that!

So the front will be at 69" WMS and 84" overall width. Pretty on par with most prerunners. Finding a 65"-67" WMS rear axle shouldn't be too hard.73850075bda4b63f3bcb9669abe5509a.jpg22b60da4f1be1c6daaa43127fb7dedfa.jpgf18d36594202158e56f1ba22f361943e.jpg9bede42ab86675db0c5429514a0897bc.jpg64150b572ff6c0d53c30ccbc3267126b.jpg65357679370aeb06f7b89961df0ef874.jpg286de38133bb50a7c7ffe05c2a2553a2.jpg5a38665686e289bc1cfe0cab16b5b7d1.jpg

that oil pan situation is a little scary looking lol
I don't have a good photo, but I jacked up the beam to a near full bump and it was good. I'll make sure the beam is bumped before it contacts.095b8412c0f165935d8b5ac41f79546f.jpg42ff4570fde5d4d0355fc979a0f21529.jpg

Full bump oil pan clearance photos included as well we driver side beam mount is completed. I sure don't like welding the factory steel.

Solid. Need to weld my bracket on as well. :shhh: good work.  you planning a bumpstop or can of sorts to handle that uptravel??
If I can yes, but worst case scenario I'll get ibp shocks with a bump zone

Passenger side stiffener is on, and cleaned up both sides. Next step is to get the passenger beam mount bracket done. Then control arms. Ordered the rod ends for that today.ca57d6e5cdfa6ae37d01a8f464453d5b.jpg216c2c3a6871637e99c3d7d5c8d61a71.jpg

plenty of us have been there.  I remember when I had my 88 up on stands in the garage and had the bumper tube (not yet a bumper) sitting on more jackstands so I rolled over a tire and just sat there staring at the front corner of the truck because it looked "complete".  :D

Ha! My girlfriend kept coming out to the garage puzzled and asking why I'm just sitting there, its tough to explain to non-car people lol

We've all been there.

Similarly, I often find myself doing the "lay under the truck and dream-up/design things in my head" routine.  It's hard to explain when the wife sees you in the same position 20min later... I've even fallen asleep like that.
