In over two years of ownership, it hasn't see a true day off road.

That changes tomorrow, taking it to the dunes.

Will hopefully get some photos!de13d43ec0a00733a3896beb95c5c0b1.jpg

That’s one hell of a tow rig
4500HD... Couldn't even tell the trailer or comanche were back there, it was this or a 6500HD

awesome pup.

don't go jumping it now. :shaking:

:comancheB:
Thanks!

It did really well today, accidently jumped it once, no major damage just some rubbing and a new stain in the seat...

It does really well in the go fast stuff, needs shock work as well as bump stop work.c6c6f8e7f60a9717e22d0998392b1e4a.jpg

that's a heck of a test drive

what's the plan for bumpers?
I have the original bumper sitting in my garage,

But eventually I want the area fan stubby bumper I had in my last xj. The outer parts come off and make it a stubby37b7b3005811ee31b6409f46a7ac349c.jpg

And tomorrow some oddly expensive leaf springs are supposedly going to follow me home too...

Got the remainder of my parts today.

Some used deavers that I'll bastard pack with my current leaves to work in the mj.

And the ttb third member.

Doing a ton of research and reading getting ready for the swap.a025308712bf3b0199275c17ef0e4e70.jpg

Got the front axle and suspension all out and started cleaning the frame from the years of road grime and leaks it used to have.d6959170a09339fe0403f4f11803e04c.jpg44dd574e15b8462990f1cd9d7b265509.jpg095ce69e52de69cc17979fcee34c08cf.jpg

Progress. :beerbang:

Need to deal with my leaf springs as well. Not sure how I'm going to go about combining the leafs to get desired lift and hauling capacity.  Perhaps just measure off the rear bumper to ground 🤔 what you thinking? :dunno:

My plan so far is trial and error since I don't think anyone has done exactly what I am shooting for before. I'll post my findings though so hopefully others can use it

More progress and parts...

Notice I am trying to make it easy installation utilizing the factory holes for track bar mounts...conveniently located on both sides of the frame due to the MJ/XJ being offered in both LHD & RHD.

Although after bolting in...it will be welded.
