Got a good start on the shroud. Used a chunk of xj hood that's been in my way

YJ fan?  Y?  I mean why...?

I changed the oil.  Spun the old filter off and hurled it in the trash.  Spun the new one on and it turns out it's dented to crap all over the top.  And that was the last Renix filter out of the batch I bought a while ago, so I guess I'll go to the parts store tomorrow and buy 5 more.

Wiring and interior are finally back together. The new front speakers are ok, returned the rear 4x6 kappa's since I was hoping for a little bass. Once I get back from my next job I'm looking at adding a 10" sub since apparently my hopes of the 6.5" speakers didn't pan out to what I was thinking. I miss my old steering wheel, put this junker in to see if my clock spring is broke and that's why no horn or cruise controlebe9e25a238a65d8b58fc8a534702f52.jpg3903462190f3389857d8ed3f18448b7d.jpg

Crossed a couple of easy ones off the to-do list this weekend.  First, was swapping in the Putco light harness. And second, was installing cruise control.

To activate cruise, I did need to buy a new turn signal lever.  Interestingly, I couldn't find a part number for a turn lever WITH cruise control and WITHOUT wiper delay. Was that combo never offered?? Anyway,  I had to buy one that is labeled for cruise  + wiper delay. It works great, but now my wiper nodes are labeled wrong.

Which, of course, means I get to have fun researching wiper delay components. Woohoo!

Just saw that thread lol.
Glad I was a source of inspiration! haha :beerchug:
You, and the guy that cut me off turning in the Dr office this morning. Cut me off because he realized they had one space left in the parking lot, and if he gave me the right of way it was going to be mine!
So I blocked him in......

  • 2 weeks later...

Got the front of my lift in. Still have a bunch of adjustments to make and I still have to set rear pinionangle and burn the perches on. I am having fitmentissues with the rear control arm drop brackets braces. They are the RRO ones. They are keeping me from property reinstalling the trans crossmember whichneeds to be done in order to set my pinion angle correctly. My other issue is the rear driveshaft. My 4x4donor vehicle is an 86 long bed with the NP207. I had to order a driveshaft from a junkyard for a short bed. But a short bed never came with a 207 transfer case. It must be shorter than a 231 case because it's most likely that's what the shaft is from because with the pinion near correct angle the shaft wants to fall out. I still have the long bed shaft and I guess I'll get that one cut down and use it if I have to. And another thing I noticed, the sway bar when angled down all the way hits the lower tank on my radiator. I have longer links to put on but I'm a little worried about it popping my radiator if flexed too far. I'll repost this to the tech section to see what of any suggestions you guys might have. Here are a few picsIMG_20180818_153446698_HDR.jpg.18e742b55df9b53201f8f801ee1f390c.jpgIMG_20180818_110127673.jpg.87bb100f37aab166b137ea6aa1d70052.jpgIMG_20180818_110141260.jpg.69acbb31021eca20ddbc98c7285da1a7.jpgIMG_20180818_110221391.jpg.375c695ae3de9837aa3e977ba020e16e.jpgIMG_20180818_153435407.jpg.19351e332cb51f1f1d10235aa76f8819.jpg
