$50 a side not including the crossbody harness is an ok deal if the door harnesses are fully intact. I paid a little less than that including the x-body harness but of course I had to spend a couple hours on a cold rainy day in the junkyard removing door guts and removing the seats, console, and carpet to get to the crossbody harness. Are the door wiring harnesses uncut? They plug into the crossbody harness inside the truck, not inside the door. Obviously if this is a pick-and-pull type junkyard, just don't cut the harnesses when you remove the doors You'll want the crossbody harness from a 91 or 92 XJ since everything is pretty well self contained for those years... or just make your own. Earlier years have problems with very slow lock actuators and later years have the relays in the dash harness IIRC. You'll want to grab the fusebox taps and circuit breakers that go with them. I don't see why people say to replace the doors when doing the power window swap unless you need new doors anyway. Replacing the old manual regulators, adding the wiring, and adding the lock actuators was not difficult.

Yeah, IMO gauge dimming is critical at the very least. Other stuff like the climate controls and the radio (ahem) is a matter of opinion, but I don't think I could deal with non-dimming gauges. Some of the nicer ones hide a PWM dimming circuit inside the bulb base as far as I know. Not sure about smaller bulbs like 194s. The stock rheostat will not sufficiently dim just the LED by itself.

Is this 2871W worth of actual LEDs or 2871W equivalent? If it's the latter the draw will be less. A lot less. If this portable death ray actually draws 2871W... holy crap. That's a lot of LEDs.

Hey I actually did something to this article! Added the AR-7750 and greatly improved some pics. I built a whitebox to take good pics in, and I will be replacing bad pics as I get the opportunity. Every radio is now on the website.

The MJ's heater when in good working order is quite good at moving air in my experience. Ditto what Dzimm said, I'd open up the recirculation door and peek at the blower motor. Also make sure the air is coming out from where it should be, i.e. not blowing at the windshield - that would indicate a vacuum leak somewhere.

I want to find a set of black dash trim that isn't crumbled to pieces first, but I'm probably going to put the woodgrain back on. It's not the car from my childhood without it. Now that it's cooled down some I've been driving the '91 instead of this. Over the winter I'm going to work on the front end, then get some tires put on. It needs tires pretty bad, but needs front end work first.
