  1. I have never seen it either.

    In demand

I have people asking to buy mine, and I just tell them its not for sale, but for $20,000 cash its yours. Funny when people see it and they say, you don't see a Comanche everyday. I reply to them, I do.
  3. Congratulations. Was nice meeting you the other day. That's a good looking truck, and I love that grill.
  4. Awsome looking truck, looks great, but your grill is upside down.
  5. Did you change the bulb also. Make sure you put the right one in. If you put a single element in a dual element socket it will do strange things like you are having
  6. Thanks.
  7. I actually want to sell some parts, but I can not use EBay, and I don't want to set a price. So I was just wondering what other sites you guys use to find parts.
  8. What other auction sites besides EBay are good to find MJ parts. Thanks
  9. Sounds like the vacuum line came off the MAP sensor.
  10. Also welcome to Az. So much for the dry heat right now.
  11. Nice that you painted the center black and used chrome lug nuts. Good job.
  12. You said that the mechanical fan pulley has a bad bearing. Maybe it is putting drag on the belt and making it chirp.
  13. You probably have a 60 amp alternator on your jeep. If your battery is low or your winch is loading down your battery (a winch can draw a couple hundred amps under load) that alternator is going to put out quite a bit of current to keep your battery charged, a lot more then that yellow wire can handle. If you did not have the fuse in there, the wire itself would probably just burn up, acting like a fuse link. Look up amp rating for the size wire the yellow one is. We are trying to help you and you seem to be resisting for some reason.
  14. OK, I understand. Jeep did do some crazy wiring jobs. It's scary looking under the dash next to the fuse panel.
  15. My electrical book shows a 8 AWG red cable from the battery to the stater relay with no fuse. That yellow wire was not put there by Jeep.
  16. Strange things happen when you put a single filament bulb in a dual filament socket. Don't ask me how I know.
  17. I get idle issues on my 1989 XJ. Sometimes it idles very high like yours or barely idles at all, like it is about to stall out. What fixes it for me is with the engine off, I pump the gas pedal around 10-15 times and that cures my issue for around 6 months. I figure the TPS gets a dirty spot and this cleans it up.
  18. Do you really need a 120 amp relay. I do also like the studs. I use Bosch 12v 40 amp relays myself. What ever you use, just stay away from the China ones. I had a Bosch style 40 amp relay from China, I opened it up to see the quality of it, and it had a 5 amp relay mounted on a board inside it.
  19. The shims do not go on the sides of the control arm. They go behind the lower control arm at the frame end, to push the control arm forward. Item #10 in Eagles' diagram. Did you really drive it with out the upper control arms mounted, or did I read it wrong?
  20. I have the Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs (33x12.5x15) on my XJ and love them. They are kind of like a hybrid tire, mud and all terrain. I have had BFG AT's and MT's before and both were good for the type of terrain they were designed for. The Duratracs do well in mud, sand, rock crawling and have good street manners in my opinion. I have around 40,000 miles on them and have around a quarter of the tread left. They were pretty quiet when new, but now they are kind of loud. I would buy them again.
  21. Maybe the mechanic put the seal in facing the wrong way. Easy to do if you don't pay attention.
  22. This is the stock shock mounting location. Since they put the springs on top of the axle, they moved the shock mounts to the top of the springs, that is why your shocks are to long now.. I was just wondering if the shocks would reach the mounts they welded onto the stock XJ mounts.
  23. Looks like he has a slip yoke eliminator. Will your shocks reach the mounting plates that are welded on the original shock mounts?
  24. If the plugs 2 and 4 had raw gas on them you could have a couple of fuel injectors stuck open or those cylinders are not firing. Just a thought.
