  1. Great looking MJ. Clean but still gets used.
  2. I think you changed the wrong temp sender. The one for the gauge is at the back of the head.
  3. It is down by the drivers side motor mount, not to be confused with the knock sensor which has a connector like the fuel injectors.
  4. Looks good back there and free is great thing.
  5. Maybe your idle speed control valve is stuck shut or plugged up with carbon, and when you pulled the line off it got enough air for it to idle again. Like Jeep Driver asked, did you clean your TB?
  6. Must be the rare full time 4wd version.
  7. Nice looking truck. Did they make a Metric Ton short bed?
  8. I thought our trucks came from the factory with a cold air intake. The opening is right behind the grill.
  9. without wheel spacers with 1.25 wheel spacers 31x10.5x15 tires, no lift, and they are inside the wheel well.
  10. I think he was talking about the cable bracket inside the cab. I had to remove my cable from the shifter to get to one of the nuts holding the booster on.
  11. Read the reviews on it.
  12. Just does not look right.
  13. For what he is asking, you should not have to do any work on it. I would say $3500-$4000 in my area.
  14. Replaced my ignition switch. On the way home from work my AC, radio and turn signals just stopped working all of a sudden. Traced it to the brown wire on the ignition switch, the terminal on the switch was melted. replaced the switch and all is good for now.
  15. Glad you got it fixed.
  16. Try unplugging and replugging in your crank position sensor.
  17. My MJ has them, and also the axle and springs I got from the junk yard has them.
  18. Sounds like it was in the wrong place. Should be under the spring plate like the diagram shows.
  19. Don't worry, your not alone. I backed out of my garage and hit my wifes car, that she never parks in the driveway and bent my rear bumper that was pretty straight. My fault for not really looking back.
  20. On a 4.0 HO, the CPS should be open/infinite when checking resistance between the B and C pins.I now have spark coming out of the coil (Had a defective MSD Blaster SS on our hands). Now, I just need to properly index the dizzy (messed up the 1st time, apparently) and we should be golden. Sorry, I thought it was the same as a Renix CPS.
  21. The CPS should not read infinite. Disconnect the CPS and hook your meter to it and crank the engine over. Should read around .5 volts AC while cranking.
  22. Post #8 says he changed the o2 sensor. When you changed the TPS did you adjust it also. My 89 XJ did this problem a couple of times. One was a bad TPS, changed it out and was good for around 2 years. Started doing it again and this time I just had to unplug the IAC and replug it in. I assume you cleaned the throttle body where the IAC goes.
  23. Are you sure the Master Cylinder is the correct one, if it is then you might have the same problem I had. I had a problem when I went to the dual booster upgrade. My problem was the push rod from the booster was not adjusted correctly and was not letting the piston in the Master completely move back to unblock the hole to relieve the pressure to the calipers. Then the heat generated from the dragging brakes expanded the brake fluid in the calipers and made the problem worse, almost could not move. By loosening the nuts that hold the Master onto the booster, the brakes would release. Had to measure the push rod length and the piston hole depth that the rod goes into and adjusted the rod to the correct length by turning the adjuster on the tip. No more problems after that.
  24. That is the vent line for the axle.
