  1. Happy 4th, CC!
  2. Mickey Thompson’s are classics. They didn’t stick around by being the 2nd best tire.
  3. Thank you. It’s getting there. Hopefully it will be driveable by the end of the summer.
  4. I was surprised how nice it was!
  5. And this car is dang good at them!
  6. We had to move the car today, so I had to redeem myself with a breed burnout. Sound up and feast your eyes.
  7. They are a lot cheaper and easier to fix than MJs! Not quite as cool though…
  8. That is another great option!
  9. After washing:
  10. I was up at the neighbor’s the other day when they said that that had an old Bolens up on the hill that they wanted to get rid of. We walked up there and took a look at it and told me I could have it if I wanted it. So, I did the right thing and acquired another project. It’s in surprisingly good shape, really. I think this one is going to be the tractor for mowing around the house. I was told it ran when parked and that it needs a PTO clutch. This tractor does not have a hydrostatic, but I’d rather a 4 speed. It is considered a Medium Frame, which is larger than my other Bolens, despite this one having 1 fewer horsepower. The only things I’ve done at this point is free up the lift arm and pressure wash it. Progress will pick up after the Eagle is done and the MJ is ready for the All Breeds Jeep Show.
  11. Progress on the bed. We will put a piece of exhaust tubing along the sides to simulate how the original bedsides had the curl in them. It will also get stake pockets. Those of you familiar with 47-54 GM trucks will recognize that these are actually 54+ style bedsides, the top is perpendicular to the bedsides, instead of at a 45 degree angle. This was done so that the truck could have a tonneau cover on it.
  12. Motor mounts are burned in!
  13. A guy was thinking: “I’d bet an LJ and a PT Cruiser have a similar wheelbase”. After doing some googling:

A month later I see the comanche come up for sale on CL, shared with my buddy/coworker and got him to buy it. Two years later and after getting my s10 stuck in my yard, I told buddy I need to get something with 4wd – he says he’ll sell me the comanche. He decided his son needed something with airbags for his first car. Me getting stuck: CC is Awesome! Why? It’s the best source for knowledge and perspective onthis truck, but it’s also great for constructive feedback. Like when PeteM told me my bed armor made it look like I was rocking a junk yard bed. He was right and I made some tweaks I ended up loving. This is an awesome looking truck! I really love the tan! Congrats, @billyblankss

    Ford

I really like the Broncos, personally. I’d rather have one over a new Wrangler.
  16. That would be pretty cool!
  17. As are you and I.
  18. I think after even one more, I’d be living in them
  19. Is this the plan with yours when you come into a pile of money?
  20. Will do. Thanks.
  21. Bout dang time! Happy to hear it’s home.
  22. This is kinda what I figured, I just didn’t know why it was there. If you are ever up in WI, you could play with mine.
  23. New wheels and tires on. The front end still needs to go up about an inch or so. We will probably make some ball joint spacers to get it up so as to not wreck the suspension geometry.
  24. New-to-me wheels and tires today. The tires are about 75% tread and the wheels have a crappy spay bomb paint job, but they should work for this car for now. The tires are the same Firestone Destination AT that I have on my Comanche, just in a much smaller size. 225/75R15 vs 31x10.50R15.
