    Trailblazers did come with a 4.3 when they were a trim level on the S10 Blazer. Or maybe they were their own model, but for a year or so, they were based on the S10 chassis.

    And I would say this is because these are the people that actually care about the rigs, they aren't just the slap on some lightbars and wheels and tires type of people. Plus most of the modern mechanics are the "get it done as quick as possible" type of people.

    But in order to do a 97+ swap, the whole truck needs to be stripped and it is pretty much completely custom from there. Just don’t be surprised if you don’t have $8,000-$10,000 in it before paint.

    Get an REM and do @cruiser54’s Renix tips before swapping engines. Odds are, changing the engine won’t fix your issue.

    You will have a ton of money in it if you pay someone to do the swap if you want the complete swap done. There are plenty of write ups for DIY though!

    What the government doesn’t know, won’t hurt them. I have no plans to sell the truck, nor does WI have inspections, the title has exempt for odometer reading, and it’s a 32 year old truck, I’d really need to piss off a cop for them to care. If I were to sell it, I’d just need to disclose that the title is inaccurate. I love the 31s with 4.10s. It gives it a little pep, but is still great doing 75 mph. Plus it gives me some snort for towing.

    Glad to hear it. My blue truck is on 31s with a 3” lift and it is about the perfect stance. The build thread is in my sig if you need pics for reference.

    I would avails driving it in the winter at all costs. These trucks rust like crazy, especially if they are ever exposed to salt on the roads.
