  1. Hello All, On my 1989 Comanche Can someone please educate me on what the articulating lever device connected to the rear differential and to a lever on a block above the differential with rear brake lines attached is for?
  2. Thanks Pete!
  3. Continuing to work on my 89 Comanche, Thanks for everyone that has given me assistance and advice. I’m in need of another part. Does anyone have either a lens for the passenger vanity mirror of the complete light assembly? (See Photos) Thanks!
  4. Still working the odds and ends out of my 89 Comanche. I have run into another issue that has me scratching in my head. I've been driving the Comanche around to help in getting the fuel system cleaned. I was driving the other night about dark I turned on the headlights and the instrument panel lights did not come on at first. A few minutes later, everything cam on as normal. Tonight the same thing happened. I have checked everything wiring and fuse wise but I am not able to pinpoint the problem. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks David
  5. Update: 5 July 2021 Completed items 1-5 on the “Problem List” last night. Drained entire fuel tank Blew fuel lines out with low pressure Changed fuel filter Reconnected everything Added 1/2 quart Lucas Fuel system cleaner and 1/2 tank of Premium. Drove 50+ miles at highway speed (Started and Stopped, etc) Parked for several hours Drove 20+ miles Came home in time for dinner Lol At first the truck ran like crap, shuttering, missing, cut off. As I continued at Highway speeds the truck began to run better and better. By the time I finished up around 6PM, it was idling without a miss, still had a hiccup every now and then. My plan is to run the reminder of the fuel and additive out and wait until the “Good Stuff” arrives on Wednesday Again, I can’t thank the forum for the great input! I’ll be in touch David
  6. Thanks for your input! Drained the tank completely today and just ordered 2 B44K's Hopefully it will take care of the issue!
  7. Hello All i have a puzzling issue with my newly acquired 89 Comanche 4.0 The truck has been sitting indoors for about 2 years prior to my obtaining it. It ran great after draining a small amount of fuel out of the tank I replaced a leaky valve cover gasket last night. (I was sober) After putting it back together, I started it up and now it has a constant miss at all speeds. Tonight I replaced Plugs, Wires, Cap & Rotor, Checked all vacuum lines, checked connections on Fuel injection. Still have the miss. Can anyone suggest anything else? I have not replaced the fuel filter but have one and will replace it tomorrow. I’m not new to Jeeps, but this is my first Renix. Thanks in advance
  8. Thanks ghetdjc320! I really want one!
  9. Any ideas about where I can find the light mounted on the back top of the cab for the cargo area? Mine is toast!! Thanks
  10. Will the rear doors on a 4 door Cherokee work on the front Comanche doors???
  11. Hello All from coastal NC I need some help please! I have a 1989 Comanche in pristine condition with the exception of the Drivers Side manual window. The gears are gone on the crank. I’ve seen several regulators in various price ranges on EBay. I’m not sure which Cherokee regulator will work. Could someone shed some light? Thanks
  12. Thanks Cater The truck was painted by a custom hot rod shop in my area that has an excellent reputation. It’s not show quality but it’s a perfect daily driver for sure and maybe even a plus. I appreciate your input. I’ve got it parked in my garage trying to decide if I want to sell or keep it! I have 3 CJ’s and a 79 Cherokee Chief
  13. Hello I have a question that I would like your input on. I have recently acquired a super clean, 1 owner 1989 Jeep Comanche Laredo The rolling chassis has 324K on it but the following has been done: Rebuilt Engine Rebuilt transmission New brakes all around Complete professional paint job New tires AC serviced New Battery The truck is super clean, rust free, everything works, and it runs and drives as good as it looks! So my question is What do you think it should sell for? Not sure if I want to sell as of yet. Mainly curious. Thanks for your assistance
