  1. It is loaded up quite a bit, but I've never found myself wishing for more options. That color combo sure is pretty though, when its shiny.
  2. I found a craigslist ad for a car that would have been nearly identical to mine. This one is a year older and has power windows and locks, but the color combo is right. https://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/cto/d/glen-cove-1985-amc-eagle-4wd/7406899777.html
  3. There were so many awesome ads for these cars! I really do want some National Ski Patrol stickers for it.
  4. I had that topper for sale for a couple of months, no bites. Ended up selling the truck with the topper to @TDIJeep
  5. First snow! It did great, but it was only 3/4”. Never needed 4 wheel drive, but I tested it to make sure it works anyways. Tomorrow we are supposed to get anywhere between 1 and 12 inches of snow. I’m ready!
  6. That’s the plan! Thankfully, the car came with many extra trim pieces and wiring pieces, but I’m still looking for many parts too.
  7. FWIW, I’m running the Hella e-code H4 housings and bulbs in my truck (still halogen), and I love them. Very bright and still old school looking. I would also recommend adding the KSuspension headlight relay harness. That brightens the stock ones up a lot too and reduces the chance of fire.
  8. Thanks! I’m going to look locally for some parts over Christmas break, but I’ll be in contact if I need more pieces.
  9. My old MJ. It has an MJ specific Leer.
  10. The Grinch with my Eagle yesterday in town for a holiday party.
  11. I’ll have to look into those some. Don’t worry about it. I love learning this stuff.
  12. I’m curious about the quirks too, but I haven’t found anyone who has actually done it, I just know that it can be done.
  13. Good call. Thank you.
  14. The main reason that I am looking at the G80 vs an Auburn, Detroit Tru-Trac, and others is because it would be going in the front of my Eagle. That car will only every really see snow and maybe sand or small rocks depending on where I go to school. I have no desire to go mudding. I just thought it might be a cheap option worth looking into.
  15. I see on that post that they also said January for tail lights.
  16. Could you post a picture of the handbrake from inside the truck? We should be able to confirm then if it is a handbrake out of an XJ. You are correct, no MJ came with a handbrake.
  17. I’d check for spark then. How old are your cap, rotor, plug wires, and spark plugs?
  18. Do you have fuel pressure? Can you hear the fuel pump when you turn the key? Can you confirm that you are getting spark?
  19. That is awesome! I have the magnet of @500 MJ’s Comanche.

I’m thinking it’s an early one. Note the fender badges are the COMANCHE ones instead of the Comanche ones.
  21. Thank you! Most people think it’s ugly at first, but it grows on them. I’m not saying to buy one anyways, but I’m not saying not to either.
  22. DO IT!!!! I told @eaglescout526 he should do it too with Chunk or Little Red.
  23. No Cherokee (or any Jeep, IIRC, I know no XJs or MJs for sure) came with a D30 rear. It should probably be a Chrysler 8.25. That would be a good axle combo, but I’d only pick them up if they are 4.10s. It would have come from the factory with 4.10s if it’s a 4cyl 5 speed rig. 4cyl autos had 4.56s, 4cyl 4 speeds has 3.55, 4.0 autos had 3.55s, and 4.0 5 speeds had 3.07s. Some XJs with the towing package had 3.73s, I’ve heard. You will have to weld new spring perches on the XJ axle, but that will be the case with most axles.
