You know what I bet that is. Someone got clever and decided to add that idler probably to put tension on the belt the way it is supposed to be, but then they changed the belt and forgot how it went and interestingly enough made it work. It really is clever and I could easily do that to mine if I wanted. Great pics though!

While I do see what youre saying, you will find putting tension on the belt very hard to achieve with that routing you currently have. Do I spy an extra pully by the alt? Also while it seems very odd and semi dangerous, the belt does indeed go from the AC to the PS while being very very close to the coolant hose from the t-stat housing. Suffice to say, the picture from the book is the correct routing. I am curious about the current set up.

Calipers are the same rotors are not. Now if you had an 86- early 87 2wd axle, the knuckles and rotors are the same as 4wd knuckles until 89. But 2wd knuckles have the spindle built into it while the rotor holds all the bearings and such, thus making them incompatible with 4wd axles. Now I’m sure there’s someone out there who could be looking for those knuckles or rotors.

It’s not as easy of an upgrade that you may think. Sure it seems plug and play for the module under the dash but you have to get the special switch from inside the column to interpret the voltage on the intermittent wiper stalk. But if your comfortable with getting into the column and what, it’s an easy upgrade.

Don’t you just love that? Sometimes we’re more paying for the Mopar/Chrysler name than the part.

For the AC lines you could always go to Napa or oreilly and have them send out your line to be made new.

Yeah, hes got an 04 TJ now that hes enjoying. Me, Coastchief and SoCalmanche give him a hard time for selling it. But to be fair, this poor MJ while brilliantly thrown together and running and driving suffered from poor planning from the PO in terms of electrical and the swap on the interior side. But the electrical to get the engine and lights working was pretty clean and done.
