Might as well get the 427 at that point lol. Or better yet, swap out the New Yorkers 400ci engine lol. -

Points from what ive seen and read is finicky but reliable once it is set right. I am willing to bet that is my problem as it the engine fires on a few cylinders. Ive been spoiled by Renix. LOL!! Gotta find one. Maybe those 2006ish 1500's that had the Viper engine in them will suffice. If I found a V10 cheap enough I would do the swap. Be a very fast T-bird. -

I can't say I recall doing anything to the points set up. I thought I sanded the contacts but perhaps I did not. But I can say that I didnt change them. I will have to take a look at them and see what their shape is. -
Good, you left their lot with the superior Jeep. Anyways pre 89 build sheets have some inaccuracies.

Apple. The Borg or the Cybermen? -
Colorado red is a gorgeous red in my MJ opinion
-
87-92ish used the same Colorado red. 84-86 used Sebring red. Chances of one being deeper than the other is possible but still have the same color code.

I don’t think that is. It had bigger tires and a higher lift. Weird. It didn’t @ me. Oh well. I’ll try this evening to get you some info if jdog doesn’t beat me to it.

I’m not worried about that so much as I am worried that I won’t have the car running before my grandparents move out. Now if I can rent the house from them, then I wouldn’t have to worry so much. -

Oh I’m not. It’s just tedious and a bit challenging when the car isn’t readily accessible but that’s more on my schedule. I should have it running once I get the starter replaced and the fuel line clear. The weirdest part is if I pour some gas down the carb and crank it, it acts like the gas is stopping it from cranking and slows up. I plan to pour some oil down into the crankcase and I may get back at it on Christmas weekend. Guess the holiday stress is hitting me. -

At this rate, I might sell it. It’ll just depend if I can get it running any time soon. -

Tank is in, some contacts have been cleaned up. Going to get some gas, blow out the gas line and hope the current pump works as I have discovered it’s been changed once already. -

I remember that thread too. I have found it very common for accessories by AMC or Mopar to have the misspelling of Comanche. Hell to this day it is still done. I went to order a sunshade from work and the brochure has Comanche spelled with two M's. Not sure who the moron is when spelling Comanche.

Furbies as they can only say demonic things 1,2,3,4,5,6 or 4,5,6,1,2,3? -
You know I’m gonna ask for a pic of the AMC/Mopar label.

Probably. It’s on the list of stuff to figure out. First thing first though is to fire her off. Then worry about petty electrical later. -

Yeah it is absolutely an anomaly. So I’ll be going back tomorrow to install a few things and clean up some contacts with my drill wire brush. I also need to figure out why the front headlamps aren’t getting any power. I suspect the headlamp fuse on the switch is popped but wouldn’t I not have markers or rear lights? Suppose I need to spend a full day looking at the t-bird forums. -

Get this. I left both middle posts disconnected and it still wanted to crank the starter which is why I did bring it home the new one to see if it was stuck open
