  1. This might help..
  2. So... can get you get them to make me some AT2's in a 33x10.5r15? Or maybe those X3's if they're snow-rated and won't get torn to $#!& by gravel roads. I can ask around. I thought I've seen some 33x10.5 15s, but I guess not. And with the gravel roads, I haven't seen any issues with the AT2's getting torn up by gravel. The engineers actually recommend these (if you have some light gravel road paths) because of the rubber compound in the tire. Most tires would collect the rocks like you said and tear them up, these don't. I go down a gravel road every once in awhile and after a mile or so I hardly see any rocks in my tires (of course there will be some, but.. you know.)
  3. Pm me later today I'll take pictures of one I have. Not sure the shape though, and it's chrome...
  4.
  5. Since working at Continental Tire I noticed a lot of people get the red letters because, simply, of the red letters, they want it to match the red accents. They really aren't for the mud, they were made for dirt. The new General Grabber X3 is what I'm looking forward to. Mud, dirt and rock is what the tire will be made for (I believe). I'm running the AT2's on my 2011 silverado and like them. I'm waiting for the x3 to get those for my comanche. If you're wondering what I do there... I'm a warranty inspector. So all those tires you send in because you don't like them I inspect them and make sure they are what you say they are. :)
  6. You can either look into a 3.4L V6 swap. will have to find a 2.8 v6 from a comanche though. Those are more popular for the 86 comanche's. 4.0L can be done on 86's but it's really time consuming. I would sell the 86 and by a 4.0L comanche.
  7. Is it a 4 cylinder? Maybe they gave you the wrong header? I've never done one before but maybe they gave you an HO header for 92+?
  8. 5 speed truck? Clutch master cylinders usually cause a leak on the driver's side. Some also say fuse box does too.. Just a heads up..
  9. Looks like the door jams are green too, so not sure if it's originally green or just a repaint?? http://charleston.craigslist.org/cto/5576416519.html
  10. For practicing (if you want to) go to jflf.org and go to project kits and get the metal project kit for like $7.50. good size pieces of metal to practice beads on. If it's the floor pan and youw ant to go cheap, get a harbor frieght 90 amp flux core welder. I have one and use it often, it's pretty nice, but I'm thinking about getting the mig170 from them. Like you said, look up some videos and stuff first and you'll be fine.
  11. ^^I agree 100%, good advice.
  12. With the 91 motor into a 87, I believe he's talking about his own comanche.
  13. Yes, I would get a set of matching 4 tires. You never know with the inspector (although SC you don't have to be inspected), but I think it's safer with a matching set.
  14. Good luck with sale.

    Noob saying Hi.

When you look at one, pull the carpet up to see if the floorboards are rusted. Positive is ALOT of people ask about your rig, "where did you get that bed for the cherokee??" Here's some info in here. http://comancheclub.com/topic/13447-what-is-the-most-important-tip-youd-share-with-mj-owners/
  16. http://comancheclub.com/topic/50216-colorado-lots-of-comanche-parts/ Pretty sure he has one in there.
  17. Where did you get your control arm mounts? Did they come in a lift? I need to replace my stock control mounts. Just figured out that's part of the lift right? What size lift do you have?
  18. Should be a big bolt on either the passenger side or driver side of the transmission for the fill plug. Drain plug should be underneath the trans. https://www.google.com/search?q=ax-4+fluid+screws&biw=1440&bih=799&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj2rIeR27vMAhXItoMKHdsGDmwQ_AUIBygC#tbm=isch&q=ax-4+transmission+fluid+screws&imgrc=mI4ZbyF-DKStOM%3A
  19. I would search for sway bar extensions for a 3" lift Here's a link to some, they should fit the comanche http://www.4wheelparts.com/Suspension/Sway-Bar-Link-Kit.aspx?t_c=1&t_s=101&t_pt=4306&t_pn=EXP55597B
  20. Should be on the other side of your clutch. Underneath the cover. On my dirt bike it had 3-4 phillip screws holding it in and then pull it off the crank.
