  1. The answer to the game question is new bumper  (hopefully). Keep up the good work.
  2. Are you trying to get the gasket to stay on the pan? If so, some people use some sort of string through some of the bolt holes and once it is in place on the block they just pull the string through. I use just regular sealant in the corners, I just dab some before i put the gasket on.
  3. I noticed my clutch master cylinder started to leak onto the fuse box, so I went and got a new one. While installing I decided to take the fuse box plug out and clean it and everything. Also, whenever it would rain water would come into the cab from the fuse box. So I took them both out, now, what should I use to 'gasket' the fuse box back on? I know not use regular rtv. Anyone have any suggestions on what brand/what type? With the clutch master cylinder gasket, I can use just rtv, correct? Also, should I replace the rubber hose going down to the transmission when I do the clutch master cylinder? Thanks Planning on going to autozone soon to get the rest of the parts.
  4. I haven't been able to figure it out. I got my fogs working and I just left the box alone.
  5. I had a problem awhile back when the headlights just shut off on me. It also, was the switch.
  6. Anyone have pictures?
  7. Thanks guys! I talked to my muffler shop the other and I asked for the cat to be cut off (gutted anyway) and to put a nice muffler on the pipe back.. wanted $200.. lol
  8. Hey guys.. Thinking about an exhaust.. Mine is going bad.. I live in south Carolina so emissions I'm not worried about.. I was thinking about taking that mount behind the cab (4 bolts) cutting that off and just putting some pipe in and a nice flow master or something. Its a 2.5l so not looking for anything too fancy just want to get the rattle gone.. Any suggestions? Don't want to just cut it off because then it'll be too loud..
  9. is the motor free? turn the crank to make sure. Also, make sure your terminals are connected to the correct ones..

  13. Yeah there are a few rust spots in those places, but not as bad as some I have seen. Hopefully getting the bed sandblasted underneath and up top pretty soon.
  14. I bought this truck with intentions of building myself a hot rod because I have never owned a vehicle with a v8 in it. I've always wanted to do some burnouts and go to the dragstrip and see what I could do, so I talked to a friend at work and his dad has had this thing for 21 years, but it sat for about 5-7 years once they started restoring it. The frame was already sandblasted and painted, new brake lines and fuel lines hooked up. I bought it for $1700 when it was sitting beneath a lean too (not sure of spelling) with not motor or trans. I traded him a old snap-on toolbox I never used for a good rebuildable 350 sbc engine, .040 over flat tops etc. and it's been in the garage ever since. I have lowered it about 4" with springs. He already did a 5 lug conversion on it (front and rear). Anyway thought I would post up some pictures for y'all. When I found it: Out of the barn: (by the way, not my s10 in back ground) Another: Before the rear was lowered: After: And the front: Since then I have taken most of the paint off, I took the bed off and put it in the yard with a tarp over it. Hopefully sending it to get sandblasted pretty soon. There is still a lot to do to this truck. Hope you like it.
  15. Get a picture of what you're talking about.. Nevermind.

  18. Quoted for truth. Agreed.
  19. I wonder what color code that blue is.. Great truck!
  20. Well some good news I think... Pulled the c101 connector and no black tar. Looks like someone has already cleaned it and put do electric grease on there. Also new battery cables and such.. Previous owner did some work...
  21. Thanks, I'm gonna need it
  22. Put a battery in it and some fuel and it started up and idled just fine..
  23. Awesome! I'm itching to get started on this!
  24. Yeah it's right next to the valve cover.. The other question I have is there isn't anything plugged into the connector below the coil plug (closest to firewall) not sure what that does. Next are the plugs/wires in the last picture (mess) they are on the driver's side closest to the headlight (underhood). Thanks for the help
  25. Thanks guys, as you can see the interior is shot and I don't think the cargo switch is there...
