  1. I think the buckets are out of a cherokee.. They kind of rock back and forth on the rail... Hard to explain, but they rock and don't tilt forward, unless I have to adjust the cable.
  2. I got a donor 88 4.0 today and looked under the hood and saw that I was missing quite a bit.. Not stating the obvious air cleaner box, brake master cylinder, etc. But there are some loose wires/connectors under the hood that I have no idea where they go.. Thanks everyone.
  3. Finally broke down and got one! It's an 88 pioneer long bed. We put a battery in it and some fuel and it started up and idled great, no ticks. It has 213k on the odometer. I'll probably do a tune up on it, gaskets and such, it needs a clutch, we put it in first with the clutch in and started it up and went forward, stick wouldn't even budge if we tried to put it in gear. Anyway, I'm excited.
  4. I've never seen it before. I live bout 30 minutes from Charlotte though!
  5. Still worked with I took the box out and plugged the two together.. Still the same thing.. I took the motor out today and found that one of the 3 bolts that holds the linkage on came off and was stuck when it moved around.. THanks for the help.
  6. email is littlemlittle@gmail.com tried to email but didn't work.
  7. Got a 1987 Chief with 2.5L and intermintent wipers. I need a motor for it, my old one is jammed. Thanks My zip is 29730 (Rock Hill, SC) Let me know your price! Thanks again
  8. Anyone know the bolt thread pattern? I need the nuts that go on these.. Was going to take a trip to lowes.
  9. Probably the best for performance would be gearing in your axles.. Not much you can do with a 2.5L
  10. Hey guys, I saw these adjustable lower control arms and was wondering if they would fit for the comanche. It says they do, but I'm not sure how wide our control arm holes (where you bolt the control arm) are. Here's a link http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=151116258194&ssPageName=STRK:MERFB:IID
  11. Well, got a new brake light switch at advance for like $9 and got some connectors and some extra wire. Works great now. Thanks for all the help!
  12. Thanks but I need the other end the part that connects to that.
  13. Is there anyone/anywhere that has the brake light switch connectors? Mine is burnt... Thanks
  14. Hey guys I changed my caster on my comanche the other day and the part that the 2 nuts are attached to is stripped. Is there anything I can do to fix it? I think its called the clevis for the control arms.. Are there any out there that just sell those? Are they hard to install etc. Thanks a lot!
  15. Hornbrod. The guy is in albemarle Nc.. Search in Charlotte craigslist Comanche and you'll see the Dana 44 ad. His number is on there
  16. Yeah my seatbelt bolts weren't that bad.. This guy has 7 Comanches he's willing to part out. He has a d44 on cl for $200.. I'll look and hopefully grab most of the MJ specific stuff.
  17. Thanks a lot guys
  18. Hey guys, its been awhile. Sorry. I've been building a 62 Chevy c10 and my comanche has been neglected, but I'm getting her back! I was going to go get some black interior soon and wanted to know what to expect.. Which tools, how long, etc. I plan on getting everything on the inside.. Except heater box. How long does it take to get the dash out? That's what I'm worried about.. Thanks for the advice!
  19. I have a day off tomorrow and can hopefully find that box..
  20. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jeep-Wrangler-Cherokee-2-5-L-Valve-Cover-1991-95-/250879392484?hash=item3a6993bae4&vxp=mtr#ht_35wt_844
  21. Look on ebay for a YJ 2.5L valve cover.. Found mine and it works perfect just had to get some bolts and washers and I was good. Good luck.
  22. Is that box connected to the steering column? I couldn't find it when I went under there.. Maybe looking in the wrong place.. I took the cowl off and turn the wipers on. It seems like the motor is jammed or something.. It won't go passed 1/4 way at all. I can't move it manually unless the truck is off, but only going down..
