  3. I'm new to the site and recently picked up an 86 2.5L with a 5 speed and 4.10 gears. I know its a 4cyl but it just doesn't have the power to make it up some of the hills in town anywhere close to the speed limit. Are there any upgrades (other then motor swaps) that will increase the power and performance? Right now it is fully stock, but I'm planning on putting on a 3" lift and 31s before the winter starts here. I have heard about throttle body swaps and different injectors, but i don't know where to start. Any help would be appreciated.
  4. Hi All, I have a 1990 Jeep Comanche, 2WD 2.5L 4-Cylinder. Manual AX5 transmission. I've done some minor transmission / clutch work on it with plenty of help and support from the forum. Generally, it runs fine (now). But... Recently it's been doing two strange things: Losing power (shutting off) at low speeds, normally when jarred or bumped. It starts right back up when this happens. Most often, this can be seen when it's parked and I start it, then release the parking brake. When the parking brake jolts, the truck loses power. I have to re-start it. Also, on occasion, it loses power
  5. Ok guys I'm kinda new to the world of jeeps but I'm looking to get some more power out of my renix 4.0. What are some parts. (Cheap bolt ons) I could get to build more power. I've already made a cold air ram air intake for it. And she's got after market exhaust. What else can I do!? It's got stock injectors I'm going to swap to quadrajets soon. What have you guys done to push more ponies? Thanks guys.
