    Great info gang! If a d30:4.10-4.56 doesn't come up I'll prolly end up regearing and retaining my stock axle. Does anybody have about $5k they wouldn't miss? Heck couple quarters would help...

    The XJ has the 231tc and 3.07s. I plan on pulling the peugot/231 out of the MJ and replacing with the XJs aw4/231 into the MJ. The gearing will eventually have to be deepened to 4.10-4.56 to accommodate 33"s. Just wondering if it made sense to prep the '92 D30 non disconnect over the stock one. Looks like it's a bit of an upgrade. Haven't tried to find axles with the deeper gears yet, so don't know if I'll be keeping either of'em. Just exploring my options.

    My 88 MJ has the stock Dana 30 with disconnect. My 92 donor XJ has the Dana 30 non disconnect. Plan to SOA lift the Comanche eventually. Would it be beneficial to swap the non disco into the MJ?

    Well I guess CPS could be my culprit but it is a new one from Napa with only about 400 miles on it so far. I will try to m-meter it next time. Thanks for the info and your Comanche is looking good!

    I'm having a shut off also, what's yours doin? Mine just shut down while driving. Cranked but no start. Wiggled and jiggled fuse panel then it started.
