so made some progress and just put it all back together. make sure it all work again. had some issues as wasnt wanting to start once all back together. i was a little worried checking relays and fuses and double checking them old wiring diagrams i printed off when i did the last xj wiring swap. went back through the thread here trying to remember what pin p was or 11, idk. well i was out of gas. added some from can here and primed it, a min it took a few tries. but got it and I'm happy. left the cluster for now till i get mech gages. then new custom dash. so with less weight now i can get second batt instead and that whole setup for like power right.. got my radio fixed up with some support and finally got my cb mounted where ive always wanted now to figure on what to do about heat. electric blanket ftw. plug it in and be warm. and after today out and about avoiding giant horses. plow season about to start around here so about time to get ready for plow season.

those cleaned up real nice. only image how nice that baby would look cleaned up and fresh paint. them old tractors like trucks just have that solid stance and tough look to them. be a good summer project.

well thanks man. got it figured out. cleaned up some wiring and found a few hot ones i planned to make use of. and like you said ran one to that wire, jammed the wire in the single pin connector on the visor, touched it to ground and the lid worked as the switch. i now have lights so i can do my makeup at night. now to get them recovered and make them pretty.

yeah $100 coin. way better then a penny.
