  1. not the first to cross-thread one of those, won't be the last. glad you were able to salvage it!
  2. that is an interesting idea. sure looks like it would add some beef.
  3. sounds like you found a quality shop.
  4. those look fantastic! you should do a quick writeup for the DIY forum.
  5. I hear sounds on my laptop, but I don't see any video.
  6. what a show! what a collection of horsepower!
  7. you're building essentially a small house, to code, by yourself, in your off time. this is lighting fast! just gotta keep your eye on the prize
  8. nice pics! last time I was in the big parks I had a film camera. I can't wait to go back with unlimited snaps at my disposal
  9. for me, I would track down a 4.10 geared 03+ Liberty 8.25 (came with teh 4banger engine) and combine that with a 4.10 front axle from a late 90s Cherokee (also 4banger). the Explorer axle is another strong choice but is a bit narrower. car-part.com can help you find them. regearing an axle is something that is more on the professional side of repairs and can cost a pretty penny.
  10. got one more item that might be in the pipeline and then I think the wall is complete. unless I find a nos fuel neck. or tailgate cap. or a bed rail. or a.....
  11. I would do 4.10s or 4.56 gears and the dual booster swap. it'll make a world of difference with the go and the whoa. should be a writeup or 2 on the booster swap in the link in my sig. just don't spend any money to regear a dana 35. seek out an axle that is worthy of investment.
  12. don't need to make them, just go buy some grade 8 fully threaded studs. (2.5" long?) they stay with the engine and then just use a nut to secure.
  13. metric ton packs came in both 4+1 and 3+2 varieties. but the lower photo looks like it has an AAL shoved in as the number 2 leaf. the ends of the steel are different than the rest.
  14. yesssssssss....... the final touch has arrived!
  15. I swear Jeeps are designed to rust.
  16. and then customized it a bit...
  17. well, that may be what's left in the system. but I know a hoarder or 2
  18. yeah, but which would suit the wall best? black to match the other parts up there? or chrome to show some flash? a 21 would be sweet because it's rare, but it's not my favorite and doesn't have that classic MJ look. decisions, decisions. look at me, spending money I don't actually have.
  19. replacing the top bolts with studs can help with realignment.
  20. I will from now on speak of my trucks by their year of vintage.
  21. holy crap, how do I not have a NOS grille on my wall yet?
