carpet is only made by ACC (auto custom carpets?). all others are resellers so find whichever has the best deal or that you trust might actually ship in a timely manner. for headliners there's a guy in our Vendors' part of the classifieds that makes new ones. how clean are your floorboards?

the condition of the body matters most. the big steel and aluminum bits underneath are far more easily replaceable.

that's why I had to get more MJs. the first one stopped be able to be used as a truck when the bed filled up with offroad-y bits.

these trucks rot from the inside out. we're very serious when we say you should find an alternative winter driver. a single winter in the salt can find allllll the scratches in the paint and start a process inside the rockers and frame that you do not want to have to undo.

regearing a 35 is commonly considered a waste of money. but regearing a stronger axle is an investment. plus with your lift your stock rear driveshaft is the perfect length for accommodating the new axle (the snout of the common upgrade axles is about an inch longer than the 35).

it's common to swap in a newer block because they are far more plentiful. be sure to pull up the carpets to check for moisture. and welcome to the addiction

the relay harness won't fix it if there's no power going to the low beams. you'll still need to diagnose where the power stops. could be as simple as both low beam filaments being burnt out.

being an early MJ, your sheet is missing a ton of codes due to problems around the transition from AMC to chrysler. if you look at one of the later MJs, they have a lot more detail. but you still might have your original paper copy! they are sometimes found behind a door panel, the rear carpeted panel, under a seat or even wedged up in the dash on the pass side.

airing down is one of the tenements of offroading. street pressures just don't work as well offroad. so I give you our last day camping near the dunes, after I had already aired back up to street pressure for the drive home, and everyone said "let's go down to the lakefront to watch the sun set. I figured since I wasn't doing anything crazy, just driving over to the beach I could get away without airing down. nope. got as far as the main drag would take me and got stopped by the very first little hill. got out, aired down, and drove right out. couple more from earlier that day
