  1. I prefer to see the body count rather than risk letting them escape out a secondary hole or something. the trap consists of a 2 liter bottle with the top cut off and inverted and then the assembly is tapped together. it's just a funnel where they fly up and into the bottle, but can't find the way back out.
  2. was out in the corner of the yard and felt a sharp sting on my ankle. looked down and discovered a poor ground wasp that got stuck between my sock and the top of my shoe and freaked out and stung me. I freed her and waddled back to the house to grab some onion to strap to my ankle. now pain free, I waddled back out to see if this was a random encounter or if I stumbled upon a ground nest. turned out to be the latter, so I constructed my first trap and stuck it over the hole. we shall see how many bodies I can collect. the last hole produced many hundreds. side note, I might be the first ever to walk into a walmart with onion strapped to his body.
  3. just wanted to make sure that bit of the frame is stronger than stock. I've seen stock truck develop cracks between the steering and trackbar.

    Gas prices

it's complicated. stations can charge as much or as little as they want and so competition amongst themselves tends to be the big driving factor in those last 20-30 cents. in town around here is always cheaper than the boonie stations. there's just more competition in town. but there's mroe to location than that. if you drive to one of the more pricey neighborhoods near atlanta, the price goes up. then drive a few miles to a less-well-off neighbor hood and the price comes down. it's complicated.
  5. someone needs to actually check to confirm, but I think idle should be more like 700-750.
  6. the "penny trick" is a common practice.
  7. rear main seal
  8. nice always want to take that picture with one of my rigs.
  9. love it! how do you get in? is there a ladder attachment or do you just climb up the tire?
  10. I forget the screen name, but they are a member here.
  11. when my RMS went south, it didn't leak at idle, it didn't really leak in the driveway (well, there were other leaks but it didn't leak more than usual), but apparently the internal pressure of the engine while driving would spew that oil out like crazy.
  12. shouldn't the idle be a bit lower?
  13. cracked boots just means you throw more grease at it more often. that's all.
  14. is the frame between the track bar and the steering box re-enforced?
  15. what's the condition of the headlight switch and its connector?
  16. it's a software issue that's not unique to our forum. I'm not sure there even is a way to fix it on a phone that already has the issue.
  17. the legend continues!
  18. rotated them for ya. that trailer is awesome.
  19. pictures might help us visualize what you're seeing
  20. I'm assuming you've already tested your pilot valve on the pilot shaft? I'd hate to see you struggling when that inner diameter was wrong the whole time.
  21. forgot to add: use 2 nuts tightened together on that stud to install it tightly in the engine with lock-tite. then break the nuts from each other and unthread. like this:
  22. those 2 studs are still holding my trans on 15 years later. buy grade 8 and they will be all you ever need. they are just like a bolt, but with an adjustable head. buy ones that are an inch to 1.5" longer than the length of the bolts you have now. and for the love of AMC, don't put the reverse torx bolts back in. not ever. throw them away.
