when my RMS went south, it didn't leak at idle, it didn't really leak in the driveway (well, there were other leaks but it didn't leak more than usual), but apparently the internal pressure of the engine while driving would spew that oil out like crazy.

shouldn't the idle be a bit lower?

cracked boots just means you throw more grease at it more often. that's all.

is the frame between the track bar and the steering box re-enforced?

what's the condition of the headlight switch and its connector?

it's a software issue that's not unique to our forum. I'm not sure there even is a way to fix it on a phone that already has the issue.

I'm assuming you've already tested your pilot valve on the pilot shaft? I'd hate to see you struggling when that inner diameter was wrong the whole time.

forgot to add: use 2 nuts tightened together on that stud to install it tightly in the engine with lock-tite. then break the nuts from each other and unthread. like this:

those 2 studs are still holding my trans on 15 years later. buy grade 8 and they will be all you ever need. they are just like a bolt, but with an adjustable head. buy ones that are an inch to 1.5" longer than the length of the bolts you have now. and for the love of AMC, don't put the reverse torx bolts back in. not ever. throw them away.

today I'm trying out a fleece pad under the knee brace. so far, it's much more comfy.

oh, and the red words are essentially telling you to transfer the speedo parts from the old t-case into the new t-case's hole.

using studs for the upper 2 bolts can help immensely with lining up the transmission.

"as needed" is tricky since it doesn't hurt when I'm doing the right thing and it always hurts when I do the wrong thing. mostly we're just trying to reduce the swelling to see if I can drive again and get up north for the next step.
