those studs screw directly into the plastic of the box and so if you turn them, they might just unscrew from said box. it might be mostly free and you're just missing one.

Close, it's likely a 207 if Command Trac. the Select Trac option was (I think) the 229.

A couple questions about my Comanche
Pete M replied to CheepComanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
so it's a 2.5L? can you read the tag on the side of the trans? -
4wd not engaging all the sudden
Pete M replied to Whitaker717's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
4wd is controlled by the giant lever by your knee. eliminating the CAD only makes it like any 91+ XJ. (aka: it makes it into a "solid shaft" on the pass side) -

and that's why the CAD-bypasses are popular. -

the short answer is that it's in Chrysler's computer system.

ohhhhh, I thought you were talking about the suspension springs (the squiggly things)

I'm guess that an auto upholstery shop can get replacements? I've heard of guys getting their benches completely remade, including the springs.

42 in center to center. Make sure you're not measuring off the center of the differential, because sometimes they're off a little bit. Shock mounts all dependent what you're doing.

Half dozen Comanche club hoodies :D sometimes two at a time. Layering is important.

Not sure, like 700? The current amp claims 1000. Lol. I bought that particular amp because it fit where the airbag used to be on the dash of the Liberty not because it was the world's greatest. Also the sub is a 97 vintage model. Buy quality, buy once, be happy.

I've got an 8 inch Solo Baric and a small box. I can melt your kidneys if I put it behind your seat. You don't need to go crazy and eat up all of your storage space. It's a tiny cab. buy quality and feed it all that you can and you'll be happy.

I assure you, telling someone that thinks you're endangering them to "loosen up" will not ever go the way you want it to. only time and positive experiences might ease that thought process. it's not imaginary that the car is safer than the MJ. that's very real. he just needs to find belief that the MJ is safe enough. that's a harder sell if he's already convinced to the contrary. I'm not sure how to do that. I taught both my nephews how to ride a bike without the stupid training wheels. that's about as far as my experience goes.

excellent detective work! thanks! -
once again, it's not being a "safety freak" to understand old cars vs new cars and to see just how many accidents happen every day. crash stats and physics are real things. last year I almost lost my 70+ year old mom to a head-on with a driver that didn't have his headlights on. but the '16 durango took it in stride and she was able to open the door and get out under her own power. the other car was smaller but still modern and the front end was obliterated but the doors still opened. I repeat, 50mph head on collision and no one had to be cut out of their respective cars. seatbelts are great, next-gen airbags are great, but modern crumple zones and cab structures are truly impressive. drive what you like. but understand that not everyone shares the belief that nothing will ever go wrong. mitigation of risk is not a bad thing.

Project "white lightnin" 91 Jeep MJ H.O.
Pete M replied to Jakef91mj's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
well, the standard line is to say "get a better axle and invest your money into that", but free is free so I say use it as a learning tool and go for it -
still epic.
