  1. for a stock truck, no. you''ll need to shorten it or else risk bottoming out and damaging something. on a lifted truck, maybe. a 5" lift usually needs and extra inch of driveshaft so it'd balance out.
  2. Somebody lives in a rust free state
  3. crap happens. happens with all old things. part of the fun of Jeeping. you got this
  4. be very careful about putting an LED into a housing designed for a regular bulb. rear output can suffer, even if the led is itself brighter. also your turns won't blink unless you accommodate the lack of resistance.
  5. The 44 was an option unto itself too.
  6. What rear axle do you have?
  7. getting close! are you planning on flares or going neked?
  8. what pics did you use? way back when I did pins I had a heck of a time finding pins that were long enough (and even then, mine are barely long enough)
  9. I own that bed. bar was loooong gone.
  10. you just did it. @eaglescout526
  11. in my small experience with vbelts, throwing one tends to throw another and then you gotta figure out which started the fight. hopefully something just needs to be tightened. a belt failing that young is pretty scary for quality control.
  12. fairly common down south to have normal weekday tires and then giant weekenders. ya gotta be rollin' in dough to put a bunch of concrete miles on those 40s.
  13. Just now saw this for sale online. Life goals
  14. What in the home Depot hell is going on here?
  15. that'd be nice. haven't been to Silver Lake since my thumbnail photo was taken.
  16. I've been giving some thought to adding more red lights to the truck I'm fixing up for a friend, but we decided to go with a high mount brake/cargo light since she wants a cargo light anyway. the tailgate strip was second in line. the more light hitting the texter behind you, the better.
  17. do you fill them to the brim or halfway?
  18. that's a factory swoosh. very rare.

lots of "that'll do" went into all the AMCs of that era.
  20. hose clamp around the pivot will keep anyone from walking off with it without at least taking time to mess with tools.
  21. the question is always, are they selling for that price? and the follow up Q, does the aftermarket have a new piece of kit for sale?
  22. since the yards around me pop large holes in the pans to drain them, we're going to get a new one for the truck I'm helping fix up. gotta keep the price reasonable, but if the cheap ones don't seal, they don't serve any purpose. thoughts? I will be using a one-piece rubber gasket
