Did you buy your MJ a gift? Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

Hope you and your Jeeps get something special for Christmas. 😉 Nothing for the MJ, the BFG MT-03's that I bought a few months ago will have to do!

make sure to get a fire going so the fat man can't pop in and steal your cookies!!

As long as he leaves car parts, he can have 'em! He'd better stay away from my bourbon, unless he leaves me something really good!

I got my ‘88 4x4 a sister ‘89 4x2 Pioneer. 😆 Brought her home on Christmas Eve after a last minute 9 hour drive to Florida.

Nice, I've been eyeing those Notch Customs flares for a while. If I ever move up to bigger tires, I'll probably go that route.

Congratulations on the new one!  A last minute 9 hour drive is not trivial.

Not really a Christmas present cause I’ve been sitting on these parts basically since last Christmas, but finally and slowly working towards making it all fit.

Ha ha, I feel ya. I do have a front "frame" plate kit and a Mopar rear main seal to install. I'm not got to divulge how long I've been sitting on those parts. 😉

I slapped on an Amazon steering brace kit a year or two ago when I saw some cracks starting. It was just supposed to be a temp fix for an upcoming trip. It's time to fix it correctly.

Well I got inspired by this thread. My new Tom woods front shaft will be on its way shortly. I know, I know, it's past Christmas, but hear me out.  The mj is put up for winter storage with the battery disconnected, so the date on the rem will reset. Therefore it won't even know the gift is late. :bananagun:

Be sure to get to that frame plate kit before it’s too late! I absolutely annihilated my “frame” on my first MJ because I procrastinated. I don’t see too many beat down or heavy wheeling vids from you guys tho. But if there’s already cracks….

I’ve found a .22 caliber Bore snake works wonders on the groove in the block. The last RMS I had to do came out in pieces and lots of crud was left up in the groove.
I had to cut off the brass weight and use a piece of safety wire to fish the rope through then went to town with the bore snake. Cleaned up surprisingly well.
Keep up the good work buddy!

Thanks! I've already changed this one 3 times. I've never had one that I replaced leak again until this one. The engine has a reground crankshaft and I'm afraid that their was excessive wear and polishing to even it out in the RMS area. It the Mopar one doesn't change anything, I'll deal with it until I build a stroker.

We usually don't get too carried away on hardcore stuff on trips. We are usually hundreds of miles from home and alone, so it seems unwise to test the limits. The old MJ does have well over 300,000 miles (swapped  clusters a long long time ago and don't remember). It  belonged to two loggers before I took possession, so it definitely hasn't led an easy life. I doubt that the high speed washboard roads that I often subject it to help things. Hopefully the cracks haven't gotten much worse, we shall see.

What's up with that 86 with the strip package in the background it looks like mine. Got any more pics of it? Even wielder that the one in your pic also appears to have the hidden ramsey winch.

That’s my ‘88 short bed Sportruck rocking ‘86 doors and hood. I saved those body panels from a truck being crushed! I love that color scheme. I still need to continue the stripes down the bed.

I used a Bad Dad Fab mount to hide the winch behind a factory bumper.

Nice looking truck you have! I have a set of Turbines about to go on mine as well.
