What do I need to change to incorporate this into the analog system? Obviously I won't need a new speedo cable but... what about the sender? Thanks! Gjeep Posted July 5, 2020 Share Posted July 5, 2020 There's a HO version of the other (higher end) gauge cluster in the UK that has a 120 mph speedo also. I'm running it in my trucks without issue. Dakota digital and several others will make a cable drive to electric speedometer “box” but you could also just swap to the later model vss and install it on you transfer case. There is a 2 wire and a 3 wire unit and in all reality either one will work but will be a bit of a wiring project. The Dakota digital box will let you fine tune your speedometer to calibrate for tire size so your speedometer can be dead on. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Personally I’d prefer to have a tachometer over the large fuel gauge but if your looking for one like the picture, it’s out of a police package XJ. I mean, doing triple digits in a 30 year old Jeep pickup probably isn't the safest thing in the world, but it's nowhere near as dramatic as people might think. Original 87 Posted July 10, 2020 Share Posted July 10, 2020 Well all I can add to this is my own stupidity, back about 30 + years ago when my truck had less than 5000 miles on it I did manage to run the 85 mph speedometer all the way around to the zero stop.
