I notched out the ends of a couple of the boards to clearance the lag bolts I used to hang the aluminum L channel piece serving as a ledger board (so they were all even).  I cut a piece of aluminum strapping to cover all the boards and siliconed it down.  I didn't measure the whole width, I just cut all the boards and laid them down and they ended up being 3/4" too short of a full board, so I ripped another board with my circular saw (buddy had a table saw but I didn't want to bother him) to 4-3/4" and slid it right in the center.  Fit like a glove.  You really have to look hard to see the narrower one, especially if you don't know it's there.

Thanks.  10 years, I've been cursing at myself every time I had to get the generator out/in.  We actually took a few days to go visit her aging aunt and uncle (he'll be 85 this year) up in Philly, and he begrudgingly asked me to help him repair his shed ramp.  I ended up tearing it completely apart and rebuilt it for him.  That gave me the inspiration to finally build mine when we got back home.  I did mine a bit differently than his, but its pretty darn nice to walk down the yard and right into the shed now instead of hopping up a foot or so.  I'll stain/seal it later on this summer and landscape around it so it'll be easier to cut around.  I have 2 azelas I just bought for Easter in pots now, I'll drop them in the ground on either side this fall.

Bought a grill, so that led to outdoor lights to sit outside before the mosquitoes come for us

We bought one of those 10x12 outdoor gazebo things with mosquito netting. Netting has to be replaced every season pretty much but its great for summertime.

we tried that a few years ago.  turns out the wasps like to go under the deck and pop up inside the netting.

wowza! nice work. I'm about to break ground on my backyard project. Sprinkler system and a concrete patio.

Thank you, as you can see the chairs were pretty rough since they were left outside for about a month before we got them so it was a hell of a transformation.

my newest project is relocating some of the squirrels that have gotten a bit too... used to our house.  :D  finally got sick of them digging in my flower pots. :fistshake2:  I've got a rat/squirrel live-trap and it works great!  2 so far have gotten their first car ride to the furthest side of the subdivision.

Picked this table up on marketplace for $50 and got the chairs from a friend for free so me and my fiancé stained and painted them giving them new life. I’m happy with how they turned out and now we have a dining room set
