Searching for a spring!
I rebuilt my park brake a while back, but still can't use it. The retaining spring for the pawl won't hold it tight. It will release randomly.
I can't find a spring small enough, and with enough tension to hold the park brake pawl.

I added some used oil, checked the oil level in the radiator then used it to move my 30' travel trailer and boat around the property.

I'm not kidding about the oil in the radiator. I think it has a crack in a oil passage to a coolant passage.

that sucks
Meh, it still runs great. It's been like that for over a year. I drive it all the time and use it. I'll run it until it blows up and then replace the entire cooling system and engine.

of course it does!  :D  it's a 4.0!  mine's been through a half-dozen calamities and it still fires up and scoots. :comanche:  Though it's been a couple years since I fired it up (not since the throttle body seized up).  Soon as I'm done messing around with the KJ I'm going to install that replacement and see what happens.

You sound like me!
My tail rig is an 03 Rubicon. I've got about $1k in parts sitting in my shop just need to be installed, and there's a few spherical joints that need rebuilding. Only been that way about a year!

Sounds like a convoluted way to do oil cooling. But yet. Still sounds like it works lol. Does she stay under 200f?

It stays right at 200°. It's a little down on power and has a bunch of blow by but still runs great.

Cleared the snow off and took it to the store. Compared my stt discovery on the jeep to the at3 xlt on my daily. Think those are my new favorite tires so far. 264de35f02fe037b9a5ca1a380e5219a.jpg0e071d29231197e5d65e807975a4b8c1.jpg

Szlifowałem kolektor, pomalowałem wtryskiwacze, nie mogę się doczekać powrotu do garażu ponownie :)

Didnt take any pics but I repaired a broken wire causing the interior lights not to work. Also cleanned a couple grounds and the c101 connector tonight. I'm committed to getting the my back to road worthy this time. Hoping to squeeze in a junkyard trip this weekend if time allows.

I got such a gift from my girlfriend for Christmas :)

Maybe if I was a mechanic for 20 years it would be different. I love to spin the screws in my jeeps :) but only in my :)

Finished my 4x4 conversion finally today. Last piece of the puzzle was my homemade bracket to keep the front axle locked in. Its really coming along. Should be in dd status shortly.
