I mean that the tcase bolt holes are different on the YJ transmission.
You cannot use the XJ DS on your MJ. It would have to be adjusted for proper length.
Does bell housing come with the release bearing fork?
Either transmissions will require changing the pilot bearing/bushing. The AX15s will (should) have .75" input shaft tips. The BA10 (and earlier AX15s) have .5" tips.
The 95 would be a YJ. 97 was the first year for TJ.
The YJ will be clocked differently. Th tcase will shift upward, possibly hitting the floor. The XJ will bolt directly to the MJ.
since you are doing a 4wd swap you will need to shorten your drive shaft. The XJ shaft is too short. You will need the tcase shifter from the XJ.
does the XJ come with the bell housing? You will need that plus all the parts inside. Your current BH will not fit the AX15.
Yes, but...
The e-fan switch is on the cool side of the radiator - not connected to the ECU.
The engine temp sensor is on the driver's side block - feeding the ECU.
The REM reads the ECU, which is not the temp coming from the radiator.
Joe, you don't say the year of the MJ. If the front axle has a CAD, then I would suggest checking the vacuum lines on the axle. If the lines are damaged and not giving vacuum to the CAD, the 4WD slider will not engage. Ask me how I know...
Many years ago, I left my MJ outside my office overnight. It was park fronting a main road. I came back in the morning and found a note left on the windshield asking that if I was going to sell it, to call a phone #.
I still have the note.
I have never called the number.
