  1. Electric pressure washer I gave a case of beer to a friend in exchange for since he was going to throw it out. We drank the beer together, so I think cost is technically zero. It's a piece of junk but man is it ever handy. Works great for blasting a vehicle clean before bringing it into the shop.
  2. Yeah, that's common, and I forgot about it happening.
  3. Master cylinder would be my first guess given what you've done. I'd give it a last hurrah at bleeding, and make sure the booster is disengaging, and then proceed to the master.
  4. The vac disco is mostly moot. I prefer not to have it, but it doesn't matter. Later axles are better in that the wear parts are more plentiful and cost less. But it doesn't matter that much. Regardless of what you pick up, it will likely need new bearings, seals, etc, so you will be in it for a bit. If I was you I'd look for a later HPD30 and 29 spline Chrysler 8.25. Plenty strong for what you're doing, and if they're from the same donor it's easy to remember what you need to ask for when buying wear parts.
  5. The bolt pattern won't be right... But as Carnuck was getting at, it will be within an inch of the width of your existing axle; actually it will be an inch narrower. As to the original question, the factory welds brackets on in a single pass... While doing shorter welds and moving around is good practice, it is not strictly necessary.
  6. Got any good fenders or radiator support/header panel bits?
  7. Yeah, that's a typical one. Here we get calls that the CRA (like the IRS) has an open warrant on you and they're going to get the police to arrest you, and caller ID shows the number as the 1-800 for the actual CRA. I love it when we get that on a work line, because I'll certainly play along for a while before telling them what I think.
  8. It's so easy to spoof numbers for caller ID that it's criminal.
  9. I paid $500 for one in about that shape. J20, so slightly better axles too. I paid $1200 for the one that allegedly was driveable that I made a Youtube video on. I'd say it's nice than that one, sorta...
  10. Yeah. If it's important they will leave a message.
  11. My understanding is they're verifying the number belongs to a human, since you inevitably say "hello" when you pick up. Then they know to unleash the actual spammers/scammers when they get the chance.
  12. A friend just sent me this, and it was long ago/enough companies back that I figured why not. I'm the guy on the left (machine's right) probably doing up oil lines or something. The #1 seal in the engine failed and it ate all its oil, this was the engine going back in after repair, we were in a gravel pit on the side of the Cassier Highway.
  13. Went wheeling. The snow got deep on us at the end, and the air line for my rear locker split, so it got really slow. Surprisingly I was the only one with lockers so I broke the trail the entire way.
  14. Did the gauge move when you added fuel?
  15. I think you'll find there really isn't much you can't do with only a 2x2, it's just not as efficient.
  16. Wood cribbing.
  17. Wow, almost 5100lbs empty. And I thought my JK was fat.
  18. So other than hitting at static height, it fits perfect.
  19. There isn't any consistency on the aftermarket flex plates, if you took that one back and exchanged it for another there would be a good chance it would be okay. Also, I don't trust Omix parts. They use OEM P/Ns to imply the are OEM parts. They are not. Often they will throw the cheapest Chicom junk in their box and send it out. BE WARNED.
  20. Lots. 2.5L or 2.8L? Either way, you can just keep repairing or replacing things. Unless it rusts out completely.
  21. Drive may be on its way out. Would recommend backing up right meow.
  22. I'm quite curious about the rest of that transcript. The cut off comment above it seems interesting too.
  23. What are you using for mount points? Ultimately you're going to need to measure them. I'm using almost stock length shocks with my SOA, because I put XJ style shock mounts on the axle. They're the longest I can run without having issues with them bottoming out before I'm on the bumpstops. If you have really low mounts on your axle you may be able to run longer, or if you have more bumpstop than I do. When you add a longer shackle or AAL it will absolutely change everything too.
  24. Agreed. Nothing ever changed with the synchros. If you order new ones now (I have a brand new set in a box) they are the same as they ever were.
