  1. Nice Turnaround Portra 400?
  2. Aww Yeah. So... what you're saying is that a desperate mining company called you up in need of fuel and a pull and you couldn't resist the challenge. Makes sense to me
  3. Awesome work! Man I'd love to find a '92 in California and drive it east then never take it out in the winter months. I am curious, if you do any electrical work soon, let me know if you find duct-tape crimps. Duct tape crimps are multiple wires pinched together with or without a brass ring and then just duct-taped over. There were 30-40 of them in my wiring harness. They are factory. Yes, factory. I asked a friend of mine who was a chrysler master mechanic for ~25 years about duct-tape crimps. I told him I replaced 30 or so of them on my MJ. His response: That's it? FML I think duct-tape crimps ended in 1989, but I'm curious if that's 100% true or not.
  4. Holy Moly you sir are the right kind of nuts! You must be packing quite the power under the hood. It must be a very unique sounding comanche that's for sure
  5. I have a spare comanche headliner in Rindge New Hampshire. If you ever come nearby, I can sell it to you at a good price. let me know!
  6. You can always sell your old leaf springs, some people like to rebuild theirs bigger or use them as helper leafs.
  7. Hubba, Hubba, Hubba. More pictures indeed
  8. Oldie, but a goldie! I love how the vent flap was not painted from factory
  9. Looks mighty cozy. Nice job!
  10. I'd go with #3. I was thinking of adding some fog lights to that general area on my MJ. The challenge will be to find some IP67 rated LEDs that can handle the abuse from road debris and splashing.
  11. The Diesel Comanche Whisperer has spoke
  12. That's awesome! The author clearly had good taste
  13. Majorly Jealous right now! I ended up finding a new old stock tonneau cover from the 1990s on marketplace for $50 that fit my needs. It was in remarkably good shape and for the price, could not say no. Also, nice color choice
  14. How do you guys deal with the low quality reproduction Dorman Valve Cover Elbows? Mine started cracking within 2 years and 1000 miles.
  15. Oof, I'm really sorry to hear this. Best of luck to you @schardein
  16. I posted this a little while ago if it helps.
  17. Well, the cloned fenders work, but just as @ghetdjc320 mentioned, it took a bunch of modification to fit properly. The geometry does not line up well where it meets the cowl. My clone fender had too much material on the flange and needed to be sanded down. The sheet metal square bend toward the front clip does not sit flush with the original header and leaves a triangular gap. Also, a major goof on behalf of the clone fender maker: the original fender has 9 holes for the fender flare. Mine came with 8. Overall, I'd have to classify it as a junk clone part, but I had to make it work under the circumstances. I'll be keeping an eye out for a original driver fender whenever I repaint.
  18. Wow, that pitting . Thanks for the photos!
  19. I ended up using Armacell adhesive backed foam tape for the blend door. It adheres very well and even though I opted to install it on the blend door with the HVAC box in place, it worked well. It also has an anti-mirobial coating on it for what it's worth. It's nice because I was able to get it in 10 minutes and not have to wait a few days for the mail. It's about 1/8in thick. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Armacell-2-in-x-30-ft-R-1-Foam-Insulation-Tape-TAP18230/100539553
  20. 1986 longbed. And pizza wheels! You can't beat that kinda of deal! https://www.iaai.com/VehicleDetail/Imp_2697186~CA
  21. Good call on using JIS. Unfortunately, the previous owner really wore out the original M4 bolts so they needed replacement.
