89 4.0 Climate Controls not working
89 MJ replied to 89 MJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
We got it fixed. It was a broke. Terminal in the fuse box. Thanks for the help! -
Hood and cowl got painted yesterday along with a couple of other misc things. I also got my learners permit yesterday. I am having a wiring issue which I already moved into tech because “tech Qs should really go in the Tech forum so more eyeballs will see them. not everyone peruses the projects every day”. Ain’t that right, Pete? I drove my mothers 2004 Suburban and I realized drive by wire is junk, IMHO.

There is no electrical power to the switch. -
The climate controls are not working in my MJ. The fuses are all good. Any ideas? Thanks.

Not sure about legality, but if you drive smoothly and not try to set any speed records, it should be safe. It also depends on the brakes on the tow vehicle. You might want to check the laws for that state.

All biffed. Put the B pillar trim and bumper end caps on. Got the hood ready for paint tomorrow. I am getting it registered tomorrow and am getting my Learners Permit tomorrow. I guess you could say I’m a little excited.

Superduty MJ

You do need all of that stuff for the winter! It makes it easier to driver throught the snow (maybe), but it also is theft protection. What thief would try to steal a Comanche on 37s?!? -
With the help of my parents and little brother, the interior is finished and the bumper, grille and header panel are on! Tomorrow is new rod bearings to fix the knocking. More pics tomorrow of how it is currently. And the mirrors are painted and installed.

I feel like this should be over in Epic because of the axles. -
It also helps that my dad has been helping me a lot through the process and that he owns a hot rod shop.
-
Rear axle is installed, taillights are installed, the seat and vinyl flooring is in, and front suspension is now removed.

Are you still looking? I’m kicking around the idea of mine when it is done. I am near La Crosse, WI. It it is an 89 shortbed with a 5-speed, but it won’t be very cheap.
