To be clear, this truck is NOT getting a 97+ front end swap. The front fenders were trimmed for my new front bumper.

Good plan

Finished bodywork on the cab and fenders and got them primed. Looking to paint it on Thursday or Friday.
-
Looks nice. What are your long term plans with it?
-
Just looked it up on the Google machine. Nothing special about them

I possibly have a time for a PowWow in south western Wisconsin in September...

I have a 4.11 Cherokee D35 for sale with a Trac-Loc that is recently rebuilt. PM me if interested if that is the route you want to go.

Thanks everyone for the support!

My younger brother is building a step side Jeep J10 with my help. It has a working 4 wheel drive system and a complete engine. Here are some pics.

Measurement from bed frame to top of cab
89 MJ replied to rideordie's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
From the top of the frame to the center of the top of the cab is about 44 inches give or take a quarter. If I were you though, I would cut the frame off be behind the cab and build a tube frame to match the wheelbase, get you desired height, and make something stronger. -

I could get the measurement today if you still need it. -
Over the past few days I got a lot done. 8.8 is in (and out again for sandblasting). Got a nicer hood. Did some rust repair and bodywork.

Looks good. What are your plans for the truck? -
Pics please! Welcome to the club.

Pics of the Dynamat installed. On the trans tunnel, both floors, and back of the cab. Also ordered a new vinyl floor covering.
-
Just put in some Dynamat sound deadener to make it more pleasant to drive when it is done.

Have you considered a Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade?
-
I am just bending up a piece that will fit, then welding it in place. I have a sheet metal brake at my disposal, so I can make precise bends.
-
Got the new floors pans and rocker welded in on the driver side. Now I need to fix the passenger side floor.
