  1. It was an option from 84-86. Known as Garnet. I'm hoping to hopefully get this post to where we can reference it when restoring interior bits. So far I am loving how accurate medium grey is!
  2. Be sure to put it in the registry and you'll get a build date and sheet!
  3. I think I foresee an interior tear down to refresh the panels.

  5. Honestly those Dakota bumpers don’t look too terrible for our trucks. You could get the Cherokee rear bumper end caps and put those on. But even those Dakota bumpers aren’t reproduced.
  6. You make a good point. Can’t tell you why I had that, but all I know is my dream was right.
  7. The 2x2 block is for the auto transmission TPS. The four way by the washer bottle is for AC if your vehicle is not equipped.
  8. I bet there is going to be one for the dual opening tailgate. I know there's a recall that is on hardcore restriction for a piece of rubber that prevents people from pulling on their tailgate handle too hard. Dealers can only order 10 of these pieces and we have 200+ people waiting for it. A lot of dumb things. DEF used to come with two nozzles per package for the 2.5 gal containers(two come in a box) and now only include one per package. The mass amount of recall restrictions. Having one differential use one weight and the other use a completely different weight(19's and up).
  9. You don't know the half of what Chrysler has done and is currently doing.
  10. 1986 1987-1990 1991-92 I don't know Pete. None of the years show that to be a thing unless they were either left off from being installed or a shortage of bezels.
  11. Damn. That’s a state over too. For $100 I might be tempted.
  12. Well. Thanks to JMO he sent me his cruise regulator and sure enough cruise control is back and fully operational! Couple things done that I failed to point out that I have done Replaced the cowl grill with a NOS one. Much better than the one that was falling apart from the sun Replaced my hella 550's with smaller 450's AC went through a hiccup, I lost Freon and yesterday it stopped cooling. I literally had a dream the previous night to where I was driving home and AC stopped blowing cold. Talk about living your dream. Anyways got the loose connection tightened and had the system evaced and recharged. It is now blowing cold once more!
  13. No problem at all!

  15. I am only wanting to create this post for future visitors or restorations. If anyone has used the SEM interior paint to refresh/restore/make new, should post the color that comes close or is exact match to all years of the MJ interior factory colors.(I'll edit the post as more info comes along) I just found out that SEM's medium grey is dead on for the lighter charcoal grey colors. I will be testing which colors will best restore the dark charcoal dash panels and center console. 84-85 XJ colors only Almond-SEM light buckskin(Also has a similar issue like the charcoal colors. It does have a two tone being the dash and console are darker than the rest of the interior.) Honey-SEM Camel Nutmeg- Slate Blue- Medium Blue-Dupli-color medium blue HVP112 Garnet-SEM Firethorn red(huge discrepancy over the Garnet, it appears early on it was more red and later it got more cordovan. working this one out to find an according match). Colors offered(According to what the catalogue shows me. If I'm missing one please tell me.): 1986: Black, Medium Blue, Cordovan, Garnet, Honey and Tan. 1987: Black, Medium Blue, Cordovan and Tan. 1988: Charcoal, Cordovan, Navy and Tan. 1989: Same as '88 except Tan is now Sand. 1990: Charcoal, Cordovan and Sand. 1991-92: Charcoal, Cordovan and Dark Sand SEM: Black - Landau black Medium Blue - Matte Nantucket blue rustoleum . I am sure there is a suitable SEM. See 84-85 for possible match. Garnet - SEM Firethorn red(plausible issue with said color matching garnet. Results vary) Honey - SEM Camel Tan - SEM Palomino or Santa Fe depending on the odd discrepancy for the years. Charcoal(2 colors light and dark) - Medium Grey(SEM) and Dark Grey(rustollium) or Very Dark Pewter(SEM) Cordovan - Burgundy Navy - SEM 15043 Shadow Blue Sand - SEM Santa Fe Dark Sand - 97-01 Agate-SEM 15303 Graphite Headlight bezels with darker silver trim-PDM 4889922AB Mopar Touch up paint. 16. How’s the CPS? That is prone to heat soaking.
  17. Well...from the factory you don’t. You would go to your dealer and get the parts that has new studs in place. Did that. Worth it than just to replace the studs. That being said Chrysler has stopped making the front brackets and are at vintage parts. The rears are impossible to find new. Your best bet will probably be to drill them out and get studs or bolts.
  18. I know this isn’t Comanche literature but it’s does involve the XJ when it was still called sportwagon. So in the spirit of having AC I present this piece of R12 support: Snagged this piece off of eBay.
  19. Heh. Just got off that boat. Miniut gave me a good tip, said to crank the compressor over about ten times before charge. That dryer location makes me appreciate the location for the 2.5's a little more. Good luck!!
  20. I had a slight issue like this. I thought my rear main was going but that is still doing well. The slave cylinder was busted on mine. It looked like oil was coming from the bell house area but it wasn’t. The slave cylinder had enough of a tear that I needed to replace it as I was filling it up more and more frequently until the slave cylinder failed entirely. This could very well be your case but it could need a clutch overhaul anyways.
  21. Yup. Factory condenser. Despite the battle and a half I went through, the burden has been lifted from my shoulders and it has all been very worth it. My father is calling this as an omen as he fixed my moms AC and predicts hell will freeze over here. Lets see!
  22. IR gun. Pointed at the very back of the vent. Probably blowing out somewhere close to 50*
  23. 36.4 degrees out of the middle vent! Damn that's cold.
