Try this theory I have. I would set up a EFI fuel pump, put some hoses on it and put the pump you want in the series and see if that pump will pull fuel through the old pump. I don’t see why it wouldn’t cause the fuel should still come through the pump regardless.

As far as I have seen, the only difference in early vs later is how they get installed. Early is riveted and later is bolted in.

The rear supports were interesting to figure out though. Also took three packs of 1” grip tape and cut them with a cut off wheel to get the right width to fit in those grooves.

Can you keep the truck going long enough to get a multimeter to the battery to see if it’s outputting? I’m almost wondering if something in between the battery and the alt is bad. without the solar panel.
