I asked our alignment guy who does brakes as well was an AMC quality check tech back in the day to check my drums and what not. Said the cylinders were leaking and cut my drums for free.

'91+ 2wd knuckles on '88 2wd?
eaglescout526 replied to Coyote's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Oh yeah that’s right. I forget late 89-90 was the change over to the HO stuff -
Yup! It’s a newer number but still made to this day.
-
I haven’t seen anyone on here sell them but I did say at some point that Chrysler still makes the water pump for the 4.0L. I have two reman 2.5L pumps.
-
No problem. Just remember. AMC was All Makes Cars
-
91-92 are the HO years and are incompatible with the Renix years. 84-90 should work just fine with 84-85 being carb years for all engines and 86 being TBI for the 2.5L. The fuse block is the same as what is used by GM in the same time period.

'91+ 2wd knuckles on '88 2wd?
eaglescout526 replied to Coyote's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yeah it’s a weird thing AMC did but I’m sure it was a cost effective design for 2wd but they probably weren’t selling as many 2wd Jeeps as they were 4wd. If you think it’s genius to have the hub and rotor into on assembly but dumb when the entire thing has to be changed. But yeah I only recently discovered this with an 86 2wd axle I just got. later year knuckles will work, just if you’re after that big brake upgrade, I think the knuckle is completely different later than the early years. -

eaglescout526 replied to Coyote's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The older 84-86 2wd knuckles are the same as 4wd knuckles. You’d just need the spindle, hub and rotor. The later ones are smaller in terms of big brakes. -
86 comanche Cherokee to comanche swap?

AX4/AX5 and the Chrysler A900 series. -
Might want to get a 55 gallon drum of brake cleaner for that.

eaglescout526 replied to Pete M's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
I almost bought them. They are in my watch list. -
Trouble in the Suez!

There’s some NOS ones. I might have one for cruise but none for without.

Lol right place right time for me.
-
Lol no worries. I caught that it needed to be moved anyways so I figured I would post the build sheet and what not.

That interior looks like something out of those concept drawings of what the future could look like from the 20's and 30's. And a little bit of futurama too with the interior. Kinda neat they touched an old Kaiser/AMC designed Jeep other than the SJ.

Oh yes it will be and I can't wait for it!! Also went and finally saw a Street Comanche in person. No. 20 to be specific. Got some nice glamor shots. I absolutely LOVE @CactusComanche's street MJ. I also got a tour of the whole farm while I was there. Both learned a few new things and learned you could easily mount an XJ rear bumper using how the Street MJ mounted its custom rear bumper. Was absolutely worth the drive, plus needed to brake the oil change in LR and the new T-stat which both worked great! And that new rear leaf did a great job too! Which means no more vibes woooo! Now to be annoyed by two different looking leafs under my truck lol. Gotta meet up again and hit a couple car shows as they start returning.

That’s a failure right there. How old did you say that one was? I’d try to get it warrantied or something like that. Also when you’re new one comes, I’d put in longer u-clips or cotter pins to avoid their self removal.
