I would put money on a bad fuel pump relay. The Renix system bypasses that relay to prime the fuel rail and once you going into crank position, the system switches the fuel pump power to the relay. So you could be getting fuel every where just from the priming but not for the engine to run.

Are you sure you’re getting fuel after the start up sequence? I only ask because the fuel pump relay is bypassed for the priming sequence.

UPS is the same way. They lost a NOS alternator I ordered for someone and I still haven’t seen it. Their logic is if no one says anything that day is should be delivered, they send it to a warehouse of opened packages and “investigate” where they are supposed to go. In other words I’m never seeing that $50 again. But both are garbage. Even shipping with both of them, their logic for shipping charges is moronic. You give a weight and then you put in dimensions and FedEx says that according to your dimensions, it should weigh this much and that’s what we’re gonna charge you for. UPS is just a premium.

Not entirely relevant but theres a game my cousins in VA came up with that I occasionally with friends or family. Yup! I painted them whole, waited for the paint to dry and used a scotchbrite pad to scrape off the paint on the letters.

Our MJs never got the option. You have to figure out the wiring between the sensor plug and cluster plug to get it to work and it might be more work than it is worth. Still would be nice to actually have. I plan to tackle that one day. HOs got it as plug n play. I just remembered that.

I posted a good emblem resto in the DIY a couple years ago. My Comanche emblems came out good, wouldn’t clear coat them again like I did. I just used a flat tool like a screw driver to scrape off all the old sticky and use isopropyl to get any and all the residue that was left and applied new 3m emblem tape.

Love the 85. Something tells me it’s original but has a couple problems which might tell me it’s a late 85 with the front turn signal sockets not coming on with the rest of the lights. The 4x4 could be just one of the early change overs from the classic 4wheel drive but it’s hard to say when that happened. Still a very neat time capsule.

Ive always wanted an indicator for cruise control. Havent figured out how to really do that yet but will one day.
