  1. It is the V6 Dauntless emblem. I was at AMC the other day and they had a CJ fender that had that emblem on it. I wanted it but didnt want to deprive someone from restoring their early CJ.
  2. What brand are you using? I have the same issue. Which is why I’m trying to convert to the early style external.
  3. No I did not. I havent checked to see if it still on ebay since purchasing the one.
  4. Lol, pretty much Yup! I don't know how similar the 4.0L and 2.5L pre-heater hoses are. And apparently those things are almost always tossed and missing in junkyard Jeeps.
  5. Funny you mention that. That was the first thing I tried before replacing the pump. I took an electric pump I salvaged from those modern all in one pump/sending unit assemblies and used that to at least prime the line and got nothing, I think there just wasnt enough gas left in the can and to add probably the age of the suspension probably doesnt help.
  6. That another thing I am gonna check out. I feel certain that it could be timing related but my main goal is to get the fuel system running and the engine to run on its own without any help. I would also like to add that the positive battery cable that has been on since probably '98 has been replaced. Got too hot and was probably corroded on the inside. Upon replacing it the engine started right away and starter sounds more happy to crank than before. So woo there too!
  7. 2 months later(from ordering it in January)..... Came all the way from the Deutschland.
  8. Lets rewind the clock to August of 2020. I posted a topic about the Pre-heater hose and asked about what it exactly does and what not. I decided that back in December I would replace it and a dealer showed to have it. Struck out...Searched the part number up and bingo! Ebay shows two....in the heart of the Reich(not really)...So I bought it early in January, messaged the seller if he would ship to the U.S. and he agreed and shipped it. $100 later and a month goes by with no info. Now two months later it finally shows up! So now I can replace mine. I know, y'all are probably gonna ask, "But Eagle, couldnt ya just go to the parts store and get one?" Yes I absolutely could have. But I did not want to deal with the hassle of fitment issues and what not so I bought this. Ought to last me another 30 years right?
  9. The old "Blazer" lights are correct for the HO era. Some are still left from Chrysler but you can get them cheaper on ebay probably.
  10. Well there’s progress but not what I wanted. I put fuel in the tank, not enough to get into the fuel line apparently, but I did use about half of the gas can with trying to get the engine to run before so there just might not have been that much to go into the tank. Had my friend help me out, probably spent an hour or two total on the fuel system. Had him watch the fuel pump while I cranked the engine to see if it was pumping fuel. None. Tried again still nothing. Decided to just go back to the gas tank and make sure the fuel line was connected. Nope. I thought I had it reconnected but it wasn’t oops. So I got that connected, never heard fuel pouring out of the hose line before reconnecting the hose so I didn’t lose any fuel there. Got it all buttoned up. Still no fuel. Swapped out the pump. Tested the old one, seemed to test good but swapped it anyways for a new one just in case. Stood there, decided to take off the carb to make sure I built it right at home and get more gas. On the bright side the horns work! But I think the steering wheel has been off once as the contact plate doesn’t quite touch the contact stem to make the horns sound so I get to figure out the same problem I had on the MJ yay! One step forward, five backwards. I’ll get it solved. Engine sounds like it back fires while running, not sure what’s up with that.
  11. Three more popped in Pete
  12. Probably the next time I get new tires. I plan to go to 235's and probably will do something with white letters on the outside.
  13. Indeed they do. Be nice to access the bed, or the top of the roof and camper with the extended boards.

  15. We aren’t sure with the head restraints either.
  16. My grandfather has a 240Z sitting in his backyard in unrestored and untouched shape. It just needs some love and someone to drive it. Course he reluctantly let go of his MJ when I asked him for it.
  17. Ohhhh yeahhhhh This was a fun challenge. Thankfully I bought the right hardware and modified a bunch of airbag nuts I had to make this easier than with the old bolts we had cobbled together with the NOS parts. Holds my weight just fine.

  20. The Street MJ was a custom thing though, not necessarily a trim offered by the factory. But we could put it down as a special 87 only trim.
  21. Seems like over the course of winter, I have not seen LR get to 210 again. I think it could be one of two things. Too much actual coolant which I have heard can not help with heating of the engine or my t-stat is stuck open. I even drove with the AC on the other day and she still didnt reach 210. Starting to suspect the t-stat but I will see as temps warm up. I also suspect my gauge could be out of alignment, I remember cleaning the cluster a while back and I touched the temp gauge and it knocked it out of alignment and I put it back to where it should be. I am gonna get gas tomorrow and hopefully the engine will get to temp and Ill touch the gauge and see where its at. Also got one of the long running boards on. After waiting for the rear most bracket from powder coating, I was able to put one on and learned there gonna have to be a bit of modifications from when I had the short ones installed. I am confident that whey should hold weight just fine.
  22. Not like I wanted it lol. It just came with the collection of MJ parts I got.
  23. Its like looking at the skinny nerdy kid next to the big jock on the football team lol. But thats awesome! Whats the plan for that one?
  24. I moved the post for ya into the MJ tech section so more eyes can see for those who do have vent windows can chime as to what they have done with theirs. I have fixed windows so I don’t have any ideas.
