It is a good alternative to buying an aftermarket Crown ISA motor. I am offering to rebuild your non-working or intermittently working 2.5L ISA's for just $10 with free shipping. They don't fail very often but when they do, you'll know with either poor idle or high idle that just won't come down and make the Jeep undrivable. The metal ones are vastly superior. I had one of the plastic inserts break and I just took a plastic one, cut the hook off and used it to retain the metal one.

Parts came in. I should be able to get at it this weekend, dump some gas into the tank and install some stuff and hopefully she will run in her own without the assistance of an electric pump. We shall see.

You’d think there would be more info on just general things like having a damn catalog from way back when on accessories.

I know I’ve jokingly asked parts specifier if they have any accessory catalogs from the 80’s. They told me no.

I don't see any springs but I see some clips that I have never seen before anywhere. I did zipties once and it still moved. Its fine right now as its pinched by the corner of the gas tank. I wonder if its just because its 30+ years old.

I just remembered about this. If I am right, its the cable that goes from the TB to the trans, there arent any left as NOS.

Now that is a damn neat find right there. Wish I knew the straight story about LR. All I have to go off of is she came from NY and my grandfather bought her from some people towing her behind a motor home.

Has anyone ever had any issues with this cable? Mine likes to go back to a position to where it grinds on the back side of my rim. Than being said, I unbolted the loop it is held in and moved the cable to over the gas tank corner so it is more pinched into place but it still wants to move but only moves about a millimeter. Second question is, was the cable over the corner of the gas tank from the factory? I dropped my gas tank in 2016 and never paid attention to such until the wheel and cable started getting shaved.

Electrolysis or vinegar work best for just metal stuff but vinegar is a bit harsher on the metal vs electrolysis. Could just strip the whole truck and dunk it in a giant MJ shaped tank for electrolysis lol. But what most of us do for rust on the body is just cut out the cancer and put in new metal. Sometimes sanding or wire wheeling the light stuff away isnt bad either.
