  1. Those are slide pins. If your calipers bolt into the knuckles, then you have the new style knuckles. The newer knuckles also have cast in “wings” that the support the pads. Take a pic and post it and we can confirm. That way we can provide input on how to repair.
  2. So on 89 and earlier knuckles, the knuckles do not have any threaded hole for caliper mounting. The caliper is the only threaded part. In 90+ they switched the knuckle and caliper design so the knuckle itself has threaded caliper holes. If you have the later style knuckles and calipers, here is the fix: https://blackmagicbrakes.com/ols/products/knuckle-saver-kit-jeep-tjxj-style-knuckle-repair-2-knuckles If you have the earlier style knuckles, it should not be threaded. The bolt goes through the knuckle and into the caliper threaded hole.
  3. That’s a super short up travel there. Rotating the pinion may help to lengthen the distance between the tcase and pinion.
  4. Do you have a front driveshaft? If so, try removing it and driving around first. As for a shim, don’t point the pinion into the ground. No need to go below parallel. You can keep the pinion at 0 or a degree or two up with no ill effects. It could just be a gas u joint.
  5. Would it be possible or practical to add some conformal coating to the circuit boards to help with vibration and any moisture/corrosion?
  6. I believe they are very similar to a GM part but not the same. Last time I checked into these, there was no other directly swappable part. Iirc the GM part that is similar does not have the washer selector wiring run through it as the jeep unit does.
  7. This is true . Happened several times searching for “Comanche” parts. Always thought it would be neat to own a Piper Comanche as well. Nice size planes
  8. Looks good! That must have been a later model gen 1 Cherokee with the turbine pump. MJ senders require a bit more modding. Those pumps are awesome btw. I run them on offshore jet skis as well with zero failures
  9. Yeah, I’ve not seen a hose fitting that is a coupler for AC hoses. Looks like either a dryer or hose swap is in order
  10. Reading those labels is just sad lol.
  11. There is a big market there for sure. XJ’s, MJ’s and YJ’s and I’m guessing at least some ZJ’s
  12. Let us know, it's a service that almost everyone is going to need at some point.
  13. This is what the thread fitting should look like going into the dryer. Assuming the thread is 5/8 and not 3/4 https://coldhose.com/products/6-straight-o-ring-fitting-1?variant=35531641585824
  14. There was someone working in the circuit boards of these things iirc. It would be a really great service for someone to start. There is a similar GM part but no direct swap replacement I’ve ever heard of anyone finding. There is a guy in eBay refurbishing old overhead consoles. He repaired the one going into my MJ. Wonder if he could repair these modules.
  15. Looks like just a standard #6 female to female ac connection should work
  16. Is that not where a t would go for your pressure sensor or do you have that mounted elsewhere?
  17. Looking good. So is the 2000 & 2001 ecu compatible with stock LS sensor ranges?
  18. It’s a custom project.
  19. Audio running to speakers you can think of as powered, audio signal running between two components (say a CD player and an amplifier) is generally non-powered or “line level”. Aftermarket radios tend to have this “line level” output for amplifiers. But some amplifiers can accept that higher powered “speaker level” input.
  20. Just realized it’s a retrofit. Clean, but wish they just made a new turn key piece. Also not liking the contrast on the main gauge panel. I’ll check into this further. Was planning to have Dakota Digital build me a custom dash using HDX gauges with all oem font but will have to compare now. I do like the info center for sure. Is the top indicator non-functional?
  21. I’ve been waiting for this…
  22. I bought a little Forney 20a plasma cutter that connects to a 110 20A circuit. Quite surprising what that little plasma cutter could knock out. Clean 3/16 cuts in plate steel. It rips through thinner materials like sheet metals quite fast. Super easy to use
