  1. Tapped the starter and tried to start in neutral, even gave it a rolling start and all the same, nothing.
  2. Already did that, it came out clean
  3. Today I was driving my 90 MJ down the road and it started staling out, I noticed it was not getting past 1st gear (it’s an automatic) My first thought was that there was an oil leak as I had just changed it last night, but this wasn’t true. When I tried to restart it, it wouldn’t even turn over. No crank no start, but the lights were just fine so I assumed it was an alternator issue (I had just put in a new battery three days ago). I had it towed to a mechanic shop as I don’t have any diagnostic tools, and I get a call a couple hours later saying they found the engine so locked up they couldn’t even turn the crankshaft no matter how hard they tried. The mechanic suspects the oil pump went bad and said I may need a new engine. Is this accurate? Please tell me one of you wizards knows some arcane secret that will save me a whole bunch of time and money. Thank you!
  4. Yes I think that was to the oil pressure gauge (installed before I bought the truck) as it’s not working now. Does anyone have a thread on upgrading the gauge cluster? The gauges are the one thing I really don’t like about the xj/mj and id really like to have something like what a tj has.
  5. I can’t quite tell, it feels like a one of those tiny straws but it also seems like a wire.
  6. Does anyone have any idea what this wire is? I think it might be the oil pressure sending wire. It cracked off of this little nut here while I was changing the oil, I barely touched it so it must have been old.
  7. I think that’s actually a great idea, I know some guys do metal TJ dash fabrications. When you say gladiator do you mean the old one or the new one?
  8. I was wondering if it would be possible to change the interior, namely the full dash and door panels, to be more like a YJ. I’d like to make my Comanche feel more like a “Jeep” even considering putting a roll cage in the cabin. Has anyone done anything like this before?
